*** BANDS ANNOUNCEMENT***
The RBCS 2018 Team are proud to announce 3 more bands added to this years already fantastic line-up.
Gun is a hard rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. They started out as 'Blind Allez' and then ‘Phobia’, finally settling on the name 'Gun' on signing a record deal with A&M. Early gigs saw them touring with their fellow Scots Simple Minds whilst at the same time selling out their own headline shows. Gun are perhaps best known for their energetic arena rock version of the classic dance song "Word Up", a top 40 hit in nations such as Germany, New Zealand, and the U.K.
Kris Barras Band
Inspired by his father at the early age of only Six years-old, Kris was already making an appearance on stage before turning Ten. He has since gone on to spend more than twenty years thrilling audiences throughout the globe playing live.
The UK based guitarist has extensive experience touring in various bands, throughout the UK, Europe and USA, as both a solo-artist & session-musician.
After releasing the self-titled demo EP in March 2015, the first full length album ‘Lucky 13’ was released in April 2016. The album received worldwide acclaim and reached number 2 in both the Amazon Blues Charts and iTunes charts. The album was also voted ‘Pick of the month’ by the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association, as well as winning the Riviera FM 2016 'Album of the Year'.
Oliver Dawson Saxon
Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson – both founder members of the legendary British Heavy Metal – Oliver/Dawson Saxon continue to rock audiences around the world with a blistering live set chock full of iconic rock anthems, from some of the most classic albums in metal history.
In 2010 the band released the ‘Motorbiker’ album to great reviews, and features the live favourite ‘Whipping Boy’.
In 2011 Seventh Son vocalist Brian Shaughnessy joined, alongside Paul Oliver on drums and recorded the live album 'Blood and Thunder’.
Now featuring Gav Coulson on lead guitar after Haydn’s departure in 2016, ODS are back writing new material for 2017 with a range of festival dates already booked throughout the year – catch them near you soon!
