If you haven't heard of the RV Care-A-Vanners, you need to! There are thousands of the RV-ers who travel the country building for Habitat affiliates. They were instrumental in Katrina recovery because they brought their own "houses" to a region that lost all of theirs. And they have so much fun!!!

Travel in your recreational vehicle to a variety of build sites around the U.S.

A good read on the dedication of President and Mrs. Carter to Habitat for Humanity through the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. We were honored to host the Carters in 2008 and appreciate all their hard work.

Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter is strapping on his now well-worn tool belt to spearhead a cross-Canada residential construction marathon with his long-time favourite charity, Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat leaders do amazing things. This highlights Kathy West Arinder, Executive Director of Columbus-Lowndes Habitat for Humanity. Her program is based on one developed by Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

For much, if not all its 200 years as a state, Mississippi has struggled with literacy. A lack of basic education has manifested itself in poverty, crime and below average life expectancies and health.
