The show really has a LOT going on that I can't really explain. It's colorfully festive, thunderously loud, and in-your-face, as the performance is conducted inches away from where you are sitting. Definitely take a chance on this show!! .

Aside from the amazing meals that Hiroyuki served, the one remarkable quality that stood out the most was his humor. He is delightful, serving tiny playful meal for the children in his restauraint (shown here). He spoke with us very generously throughout the service, while maintaining sharp focus on his craft. It's humor like his that make the trip worth it. (Don't worry, this wasn't the size of the nigiri served to us!) .

Meet Hiroyuki Sato. He's part of the newest (but still masterful) generation of "Edomae" sushi chefs. Edomae refers to the location "in front of Edo", referencing the bay where large amounts of fish used to be caught and served immediately at these nearby restauraunts before the use of refridgeration. He owns Sushi Tokami (@sushi_tokami) holding a Michelin star to his name, and continues to reinvision the time-old edomae tradition.
