This may have been poor planing on our end, but we're going to ride on the excitement. On Thursday we're moving into our new place in St. Paul and playing at Cause with This is Daybreak and Savor Tooth. Bonus points if you spot the handbill... New move, new show. Then on Saturday we hit Duluth with The Social Disaster. We will bring boxes!

We will be taking a break from playing lots of shows this June to focus on playing in the backing band for J.E. Sunde, in support of his soon-to-be-released album. City Pages Minneapolis will be hosting the pre-release show on June 6 with We Are The Willows and if you are anywhere near the Twin Cities, consider it worth your time to attend. The album is a masterpiece and his performance is stunning.
Be so proud, Iowa. You house wonderful talent.

It's been far too long since we've played in the Twin Cities... Roughly two years ago we stopped in Winona, MN on a day off while on tour to see The Daredevil Christopher Wright and Cuddle Magic play a mind-blowingly amazing show and now come Saturday we'll be playing at Sweet 317 with J.E. Sunde and Cuddle Magic. Full circle.

So pumped to be opening the late show for the The River Monks album release at Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines this Friday. We got a taste of this record at the beginning of our tour in April and ever since have been looking forward to this show (and record)!!!

Kate Padilla from the The Spencer Daily Reporter compiled a real nice article promoting our show tonight at The Bear Coffeehouse and Wine Bar as well as talking about how we started, where we are headed and how much we love playing in small towns. Last show before heading back to Minneapolis. Hitting it hard so we can hit the sack for the next 20 hours straight. Rock on.

tonight, we are heading to the inspiring, The Sioux City Conservatory Of Music to play with a stellar folk/rock three-piece, Illium. it is going to be a beautiful night of music. and the first time any venue has printed the show promo on a... bag of coffee. brilliant.

We were....seriously out-weirded last night. You had to be there. Let's just say, silver face paint, lots of rolling around the stage, and a vocal range of at least three octaves. Wonderful. Strange. We have been trumped.

so...after spending like four hours cleaning out our car, we have decided that a family of squirrels definitely lived in it whilst we slept each night. there's no way Andrew would have let that many peanut shells, almonds, sunflower seeds, and dried cranberries fall to the floor, right? either that, or it's time for a body bib.
Much much much thanks needs to given to everyone that came out to and helped out during the College Hill Music Festival on Saturday. We are overwhelmed with love and appreciation for the Cedar Valley community that has supported us as a ba...nd for almost two years. .... There we're so many amazing bands, so many good friends and good people (Greg from JJY for the pic). Also, because of all of these local businesses, the festival was a huge success this year. If you reside near them, please support them. We'll be back Cedar Falls.
