Here is a quote from one of my clients, it has been a pleasure working with Sharon and I can't wait to see her when she is completely free from any and all health issues.
“Russell was able to simplistically explain essential things that I needed to be doing for my overall health. I was amazed how simple it was for me to stop doing the insulting things and start doing the complimentary things he mentioned. In just a couple of weeks, I can already tell a difference.” Sharon
The Brook Trail Walk, Tamworth, NH Saturday, March 24, 2018
I had the pleasure of taking a morning walk through the woods with Russell, our friend Sheldon Perry
and our dog Marley. It was an exquisite morning, sun tinged with early spring warmth and our walk was
side by side a clear, mountain brook which deepened into a waterfall at the end of our hike. Layers of...
water tumbled into frozen piles over boulders and rocks. I walked and listened to the brook, the woods
and trees, the snow crunching underfoot and to the conversation that Russell and Sheldon were having.
It was a very serious and interesting conversation about tree growth and longevity and their relationship
to rich nutrient dense soil and the soil bacteria that help them grow and how trees care for each other in
their own particular way.
That conversation melded into a conversation about the human microbiome and its relationship to
human health, immunity, brain function and longevity and how the symbiosis of beneficial gut bacteria
and our food and our health work so beautifully together except when insults to the microbiome occur
causing all kinds of negative symptoms and conditions. At one point we all stopped near a wooden
bridge over the brook and Russell recited a poem by Rumi… “Inside this clay jug there are canyons and
pine mountains and the maker of canyons and pine mountains! All seven oceans are inside and
hundreds of millions of stars. The acid that tests gold is there, and the one who judges jewels, and the
music from the strings no one touches and the source of all water. If you want the truth I will tell you
the truth, friend, listen; the God whom I love, is inside.”
It was such a pleasure to mix and mingle digestive well-being and the well-being of our trees all on a
Saturday morning walk in the woods by a clear mountain stream.
Did you know that human beings share about 50% of our DNA with trees?
Something to think about the next time you sit under an old oak tree.
Everything we do, especially everything we eat, drink, take for supplements and take for medicine, or anything else we put into our body: is either complementary and helpful to the way the cells of our body have been designed to function or it is (or they are) insulting and actively harmful.
Physical health is the foundation upon which we build the rest of our lives. The quality of our physical health depends upon the quality of the life of our cells. If our cells are healthy, then we are healthy. It’s as simple as that.
My Dad, Dante Mariani will turn 95 in September, 2018. He still plays golf (he walks the course when they allow it), drives his car, cuts his lawn, participates in local 5K’s and leads a very active life.
To what does he attribute his healthy longevity? And I quote: “Following Russell’s advice.” Nice!
