Today we celebrate 4-year-old Freddy, who traveled all the way to Boston from Bridgwater, England. Now, after a life-saving cardiac tumor surgery and 6 long weeks, he is cleared to return to the UK. The 2018 Interactive Education and Simulation in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (I-ACHD) conference is an interactive educational experience that focuses on the physiology behind #CHD. Between May 5-6, faculty will present interdisciplinary case discussions, real-life simulations, and hands-on anatomy with 3D digital hearts and cardiac specimens to create a dynamic learning environment to explore the physiology of ACHD. When she was a teenager, Tina was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and underwent a successful heart transplant. Years later, her son Luke received the same diagnosis.
