Backspace Not Working Correctly When Adding Comments?

Something's Broken
Sharing & Connecting
I'm using Firefox on Mac OS X and just over a week ago the backspace key stopped working correctly when adding comments.

The main issues are:

1. Holding down the backspace key no longer works - you have to press the backspace key every time you want to delete a character.

2. Sometimes the backspace only works intermittently if you've added a dot (.) at the end of your comment - you either can't delete the dot or you can delete the dot but you can't delete any of the characters immediately before it. This is obviously a UI issue because backspaces are working fine on every other site I use.

If anyone else has had this problem as well please let me know. I'm guessing this is happening as a result of a recent update by Facebook because I'm also unable to copy-and-paste URLs in the comments field as well now and that started happening at exactly the same time. Apologies if this question is incorrectly categorised but I didn't see any options relevant to my question.

    • I was having the 'backspace key not working in Facebook ONLY while using Firefox' issue as well. It drove me crazy for to weeks. I tried everything. FINALLY this morning, I uninstalled (removed) the Firefox Grammerly Add on and updated to Firefox version 34.0 . BINGO! My backspace key now works in Facebook. I would suggest if you have the Grammarly Add on , remove it now. I love that add on, but the updated version of Firefox has an included spell check so you will not miss it that much.
