We went on a field trip there with our homeschool co-op. The family was very nice, and informative. The atmosphere, although it was raining and outside, was warm and inviting. The animals were amazing..., the chickens (and ducks) are truly free range. I cannot wait to find a chance to go back and visit on a nicer, non rainy, day. See More

I take horse lessons there and it is so beautiful. They keep the ranch in very good shape and have so many animals there. It's amazing! I love the ranch so much, nothing could replace it❤️❤️

My kids LOVE the Howard Family Ranch. We go anytime we are in town. I love that they rescue animals in need and treat them like a part of their family. Awesome place!

I love seeing all of your posts and pictures. Reminds me of Little House on the Prairie! Loved that show. But it warms my heart to see your family live and care for all of these animals.

This is a good reason to have a fresh Christmas tree. It’s a great treat for the animals.

Sponsor an Alpaca!
We have scheduled to hold our shearing day for this year.
Our pastures are filled with happy SUPER fluffy alpacas, llamas, and sheep who will definitely need a hair cut this spring!
Would any of you like to sponsor an alpaca for this year? This offers us relief from the cost of shearing and allows you to be part of our farm! We never know when another group of rescues will grace us with their presence so check the list to see who is ...posted. Those that say 4H will be shown this year. Sponsors can visit their animal at the Hamilton County Community 4H Fair in July.
Sponsorship for the year is $50.
Cost covers: Shearing and set up:$30 Toe Nail Trimming: $10 Medicine: $10 If second sponsorship it's for gelding.
With your sponsorship you will receive high-resolution pictures before and after shearing emailed to you to share if you wish. On our Facebook page you can see your alpaca each month as the fleece grows back in! You are always welcome to come by and visit. During Alpaca Farm Days you will receive our farm calendar for 2019.

Wesley's alpaca is not feeling great. So she got some TLC today and Cindy had to take a fecal sample. You can see on Paul's face how he feels about holding the sample!

Sabbath - church time, time to reflect, time to enjoy God's creation. Farmer Paul loves to care for his horse. Maximus enjoyed a special grooming and walk around the farm just to enjoy some quality time.

Daisy Mae is pretty sure the Farmer Paul is going to poison her with this treat! She still will not take any treat other than grain from a pan!

Oh the places we go...I had no idea that our farm would mean the opportunity to minister love and joy to the people at these places. We love to see the smiles and hear the giggles.

Howard Family Ranch added 16 new photos to the album: Bunny and Chicken Therapy — with Lindsay Horlander.

One of our Assisted Living facilities that we visit asked if we had any bunnies that could come visit. We don't but luckily our close friends raise bunnies. Several 4H kids met us there and we had a great time sharing the bunny and chicken love with this group of residents!

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!

Yesterday was a sad day at Howard Family Ranch. Our Leading Lady lost her baby. We were excited for her upcoming summer birth but the baby stopped developing and she delivered it yesterday. Mama is doing great and had some special treats and extra love but we are all very sad to miss out on getting to know her baby and love and nurture it in to our herd.

Sometimes you just want to go snuggle in your home out of the snow.
