I have gone to this picnic for years. I usually have a wonderful time. We play all the games, eat the chicken dinner, shop at the book sale and enjoy being with our family. This year was different th...ough. I don't know if someone new was running the games or if they were told don't let players win and have fun. 2 of my daughters were playing at the craft booth and the woman running the game did not want them to both win a big win or last prize. She literally closed the booth down so she could save the prizes for next year's picnic. I have never heard of that before. We all spend a lot of money while we are there. I don't understand why she was so concerned if 2 people won. We usually spend the day having a good time while we are at the picnic. This year was definitely different. Hope next year is a better experience or we may not return. See More

One great church and community. Everyone should at least attend once and you will see what I mean.

Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate (Rejoice and be glad), on the call to holiness in today's world, 19 March 2018

reminds us the theme for April is MERCY AND FORGIVENESS.

"The inner form of Christian familial love is mercy
like God the Father who is "rich in mercy" (Eph 2:4)."

Your take-home message for the month: if the family practices mercy, they will be immensely blessed.

Here is a short video on mercy you can watch with your family:
