I'm alive.
Wanna know what's happening ? Well, there it is :

1 ) Modded GTAV, did cool stuff, might have screenies somewhere to share... but then, VisualV looks very good already and is updated often. I also worked on a hook that would have allowed me to add more needed effects on this game.

Testing some plants in V. Still a work in progress but hopefully should have good results. I'd like to add more flowering bushes and hedges to add some color throughout V's city areas.

Page is open again.
GTA 5 mod will be done.
Thanks for the comments, I'll see what I can do.

Hey everyone.

I wanted to give an update as I got quite many e-mails and tweets about giving some updates...

I am lazy, I don't feel as much passion as I did have on GTA 4 with GTA 5.

...

I like GTA 5 but not as much as I loved GTA 4. It feels different.
Gameplay and graphics are amazing for sure, but I don't know. It just feels different which makes me not that interested compared to IV.

On the modding side, there are a lot happening and already done which is great, congratulations to everyone! some of them did a great job and even graphic wise, you now have ENB which would help you tweak stuff + other timecycle mods on GTA websites.

You have choices already, and many configurations. And i'm glad it happened that fast!

I am also VERY busy on my side, working on many projects and one that is very important to me. Which I might give some info in the future.

I still wanna do something for GTA 5 though. It won't come like soon or anything. I'll just do it once I have time and mostly If I wanna do it, right now I don't see anything motivating enough to give me that will. I'm just helping people so far.

I am currently in Los Angeles so If I needed to do a "realistic" look of V. There are many "Photo Realistic" "somethingHancer" mods already, which is great but just please don't call your mod photo-realistic. It makes you look bad when in the end it's not photorealistic at all. If big AAA companies cannot reproduce photo-realism that easily, it's for a reason too you know

Just call it something original and you'll have better feedback (I've seen people being crushed on the comments because of their names, that's why i'm talking about it here)

Question to you guys now :
- Should I continue doing anything for V ?
- if Yes, what kind of look you want? I won't ask for feedback during the process but I wanna know what you guys are aiming for. (I aimed as different looks as possible on GTAIV after all)
- if No, do you want me to finish anything on GTAIV
- if No, what other games are you interested into that I could mod?
- if No and nothing, I'll just focus on other projects.

That's it, as the point of doing a mod that I don't wanna do for myself would be mostly for you, guys as a service. Nothing much.
I did iCEnhancer C for myself so I kept it as I know the game isn't played anymore and not much people requested it.

That's the point of releasing things after all, people using it. lol.

Sorry for the long post,
for a TL;DR :

GTA 5 IZ COOL GAEM M8, BUT YA KNO, GTAIVMASTERRACE.
WANT SOME MODZ BRAH? TELL ME WHICH ONE.

Thank you for reading,
Thank you for the support and thank you all for still being here.

Cheers.

Disabled FB messages, sorry.
I never had time to read them nor reply.
You can contact me via the website if needed (redirected the destination to a mail i actually check...)
I'll probably re-open the possibility of people posting stuff on this page's wall.
Thank you.

Okay, to be honest, I didn't expect these reactions.

I did the files very fast just as a test before OpenIV's release and now there are already clones of what I did in few mins lol like removing the chroma and the fog (which is fairly easy, fogdensity = 0 , you're done :P). Even some nice haters already, just for a test that's incredible.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, ...
I didn't plan to mod GTA V at all. There are plenty of mods already for V and it's pretty cool, ENB will help later with custom shaders and better lighting.

I never started anything, guys.
I never touched V more than 2 hours on Steam, just the time to do the tutorial and check around the differences between consoles and PC. That's it.

But yes, I'll do it. I'll modify V no matter what. Game is good looking, and can be even more good looking with some mods.

My girlfriend will surely help me with this as I have less time and other bigger important projects on the side + work.
Projects that I might talk about very soon as I'm pretty excited about it.

ENB will probably appear soon + if no ENB, I can probably replace some shaders of the game. DX11 is easier than DX9 for some of these so... + we can make it already quite pretty without it, by just replacing some files and tweak it + even ReShade above it if needed for some depth effects.

Andy (BisonSales) might help with the textures too, depends of him if he's motivated.

Now after this freaking long text, for the TL;DR:

Me didn't mod V yet, Me will mod V with gf, You download V mod later when done.

Thank you!

The first timecycle mod for GTA V
I did that quickly though and blindly but it's already pretty cool for the future.

I removed the DOF weird noise shit during player transition and weapon changing, reduced the fog amount, i hated it, removed the blurry background, changed the sun color to something more neutral, less brown. changed the water, and removed the post effects for each character (as you may know, each character in V has their own post-processing).

...

Of course we can do more but it's a start and mostly was a test with zzcool to see what we could change using unreleased OpenIV.

GTA V TC has a lot of controls, you can change so much and it's cool, everyone can do their own tastes easily with it. Except to see weird stuff though from some people that I know haha.

But yeah, might be time I start to play the PC version a little more then.

Thanks.

Well, that was fast. Alexander Blade is at it again.
FYI, he's the guy who made all these crazy stuff possible on IV.
Xliveless, ASI loader and more.

(P.S : Taltigolt/ZZCOOL gifted me GTA V PC, thanks to him, I'll post a little more about it later.)

iCEnhancer's photo.

Checked the latest pics, graphics settings and stuff of V as it's everywhere.

As expected, the game does not require graphical modding (maybe color processing but that's it).

Had a talk with Boris and he's also wondering the same thing, it seems to be not worth it and the features we and he can implement are mostly minor features like he said which is true.

...

Game already had a lot of tech on PS4/One.
I have V on 360/PS4/One and the only thing that could maybe bother me was the weather/colors, that's pretty much it.
Game has its own artistic way and it fits the game.

I'll modify the game but in the future, not now. Game is already pretty, people will surely modify it before me and do graphic mods with Reshade or SweetFX or whatever. I don't like these kinds for a game like that. But I don't wanna use these to modify the game, actually we don't even need it.
(But Crosire did an amazing job on it, and it's very good for older games to make them shiny again).

What I would like to see at least is proper lighting. I went to LA for a long time enough to know how it looks like in terms of textures and lighting/color. V is pretty close, especially near Venice Beach it's like an exact copy.

Time will tell, game is already protected for GTA Online as I expected and that's good. Because with a simple depth hack you could even see people behind alpha stuff (like grass or bushes) so that's good.

On my side, I think I'll restart doing iCEnhancer C which I stopped doing in January after the video, lack of time. Even if there is no one playing it, I will still play it in anyway. I like IV.

And I'll take a look at the time cycle stuff of V, see what we can change. I don't have the game yet, I didn't preorder it or whatever, because I already have it on consoles and I don't even play it on consoles anymore, maybe PC will make me more interested in it.

So that's it, just wanted to share this with you, guys.
Have a nice day or night.
Thanks.

Mip & no mip difference is simple : Mipmapping.
In terms of performance and flickering in the distance, choose the mipmapped version....
In terms of sharpness and how Andy likes it (BisonSales), choose the un-mipmapped version.

Enjoy.

Hello everyone,

First of all, I hope you guys had a great Christmas.

Second, I wish you all to have a great New Year's Eve and be careful with the drinks and shit ok? Like please yo. Don't be silly. GTA 5 is coming next month, you don't wanna die before that by trying to do GTA IRL. Bad idea, man. Really.

...

Third, I might not have time to finish iCE C, as iCE 3.0 isn't that bad after all and i'm still happy about it, I'm working on some projects I cannot show you guys yet + my work is taking me a lot of my time.

BUT, if there are still hardcore fans on IV, don't worry. It'll come even as a beta if needed. I actually just have few things to do, not much. But again, I need the time for it.

For the famous question : "will u mod v pls pc master race lolol"
Yes, I will, we will, we all will modify that game. For a simple reason. It's a great game (not as good as IV on some parts but most of it is better) Boris seems to work on a dx11 ENB, these other russian guys like Alexander Blade and the rest already did a lot and the game is already moddable on consoles. I just hope that the V community won't bring all the Skyrim guys, I don't want my game to run at 10fps just because of tons of grass and plastic naked women. (Despite doing insanely good screenshots for some of them, there are always exceptions.)

We gotta see what the PC will offer, It might not require much editing in terms of shaders and stuff but mostly artistic changes to fit everyone's taste. Expect to see dark, unsaturated, shiny cars preset and oversaturated, matte cars presets, etc.

It's how things work, everyone have their own tastes. V is already pretty, soon we can make it prettier for our own vision. That's the magic of modding, make the game your own.

Also one thing I would like to add, my boss is nice enough to let me continue my mod on my free-time. Most of the other companies I dealt with, were like asking me to stop that page. So +1 for that. This job is kind of eating my life but hey, i love it. that's the most important.

2015 is going to be interesting.

Thank you everyone who supported me and made my 2014 even more awesome. This year made a lot of positive changes in my life.

See you all next year - have fun and happy modding.

-H
