The Age of Disruption
November 7th, 2016: 2.30 PM – 8.30 PM
St. James' Court, 54 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AF
Disruption will affect consumers, businesses, government, the global economy; with accelerating speed, frequency and impact. It’s a whole new business landscape — the global economy is in greater state of flux than ever before and instability is the new norm. Alongside this, new technologies are transforming behaviours and industries in a matter of months, populations are shrinking in some markets while booming in others, and environmental trends are making the world more complex than ever before. Our Annual event will feature an eclectic mix of the disruptors, the disrupted, renowned thought leaders and leading researchers/ academia, who will share their experiences & predictions on the “what, why, when and how” of disruption.

IIMA Alumni London invites alumni and friends of alumni to the first Fireside Chat of 2016.
How does one prepare to be an extreme sportsman? What does it take to be one of the 25 fastest persons on the planet? We are delighted to host the first Fireside Chat of 2016 with Karun Chandhok, one of only 2 Formula 1 Racers from India. In a departure from our regular business and policy-oriented speakers, we present a personality who has chosen a road less traveled. Karun raced in... Formula 1 for Hispania and Team Lotus in 2010 and 2011.
What does it take to prepare for a career in which you live on the edge of danger, traveling at average speeds of over 180 km/h? How does one prepare physically, psychologically and emotionally for such a sport? How does one make decisions at such speeds, where an incorrect one can result not only in a loss, but a possible fatality? What lessons has Karun brought forward from his Racing experience into the world of business.
Join us as Rahul Joglekar (BBC Asia, ex-NDTV) speaks to Karun Chandhok on the above. And then some more
