Is this the worst circumstition ever? Cut boys because it will kill boy babies with haemophilia, and hence eradicate haemophilia.
1. It's eugenic infanticide
2.... It won't work, because haemophilia is carried on the X chromosome: women are carriers, but it is almost only expressed in men. Where medical care is bad, few haemophilics survive to adulthood.
2a. Thousands of years of cutting cultures have had no effect on the incidence of haemophilia
3. It's perverse to kill people to wipe out something because it can kill people.
