Koh Samui is the premier island destination in the Gulf of Thailand.
Discovered around the late 1800’s the island of Koh Samui became a haven for fishermen, sailors and sea traders who would use the island as a place to shelter. The earliest maps of Koh Samui can be traced back to the 17th century, no one really knows much about the island beyond this date.

Young Ringed Plover. It is a small plover that breeds in Arctic Eurasia, its common breeding habitat is open ground on beaches or flats across northern Eurasia and in Arctic northeast Canada. Some birds breed inland, and in western Europe they nest as far south as northern France. They nest on the ground in an open area with little or no plant growth.

Fog over the Lake Czorsztyn, in southern Poland.
The lake is an artificial reservoir on the River Dunajec. It is located in close proximity of several popular tourist spots, such as Pieniny National Park, Niedzica Castle, Czorsztyn Castle, and the village of Kluszkowce.

The Kalahari Desert is a large sandy savanna in southern Africa extending 900,000 square kilometers (350,000 sq mi), and covering much of Botswana, parts of Namibia, and regions of South Africa. The Kalahari, from Tswala : Kgala "the great thirst", has vast areas covered by red sand without any permanent surface water. Despite its aridity, it supports a variety of flora.
