The Austin High School Student Council is sponsoring a Virtual School Spirit week for all students in Austin (even Pacelli)! Check out this video to learn more about dress up days, how to share your spirit online, and the amazing prizes! Rules: - Open to all students in Austin grades PK-12 - Post a picture each day on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or via text to 507-260-1955 (text YLA2020 first, and then the picture) - Use the hashtag #TogetherApartAustin2020 - One winner will be chosen each day - Winners will be selected by a staff committee and will be notified - Winning pictures will be shared on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - Winner will receive a Subway gift card in the mail This Week's Days: Monday (3/30) - Pajama Day Tuesday (3/31) - Beach/Hawaiian Day Wednesday (4/1) - Wacky Wednesday Thursday (4/2) - Sports Day Friday (4/3) - School Spirit Day

Remember, bagged meals are available for any child ages 1-18, 11:30-12:30, Monday-Friday through Spring Break, at numerous locations throughout Austin. Yesterday (Wednesday, 3/18), we served over 1,000 children. Check out this video with Mary Weikum, Director of Nutrition Services, to learn more about the program.

Check it out! The AHS Go Green Club works to promote environmental awareness at Austin Public Schools, and they're excited to announce that soon the cafeterias at AHS and IJ Holton Intermediate School will have real silverware. It's important, however, that all students remember to NOT THROW OUT THEIR SILVERWARE! Check out this video to learn more (plus, there's a contest for the school that loses the least amount of silverware).
