Thank you so much!
Sorry it's taken so long to update you guys. So here is the outcome of all this....I was diagnosed with chiari 1 malformation with a syrinx (pocket of spinal fluid built up in my spinal cord). I will be having decompression brain surgery on April 2nd. Recovery time could be a few months to a year or two just depends. If you all would say a prayer I would greatly appreciate it. I will try to keep everyone updated as much as I can. Thank you!!
Ok guys here is the verdict. Nerve study results showed no permanent damage which is GREAT! However if I had kept at the pace I was going there would have been. MRI results showed no major tears. I do have a shoulder impingment, bursitis (quite a bit) and tendinitis. So they gave me a cortisone shot today in the shoulder and wants me to do 6 weeks of physical therapy. Hopefully after all that is said and done I will be able to make cakes again. First physical therapy appt is the 18th. So maybe around Feb 1st if all goes well.
Update: Nerve study scheduled for Dec 4th; MRI scheduled for Dec 5th. Dr appt on Dec 9th to get results and come up with a plan of action. Thank you for all the prayers, thoughts and kind words. I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!
Another update: Xray shows no damage as far as the bones go which is great news. They are ordering an MRI and nerve study. The results of these will determine if the solution is surgery and PT or a shot and PT. Right now just waiting for the approval from insurance for the MRI and nerve study. Thank you all again!
Just wanted to update everyone....Finally got thru all the hoops of insurance and primary doctor. Have appt with Orthopedic dr tomorrow. So hope to know more after that appt. Thank you again for all the kind words and well wishes.
Dear customers, Unfortunately due to issues with my shoulder and hand, I am going to have to close down the business. Any orders that I already have, I will still make but October 25th will be our last day of business. I just want to say thank you to all my customers! You guys really are the best! It has been a great four years and I definitely will miss being there and my "cake family and friends". As soon as I get this taken care of, and can make them again, I will make some from the house. Thank you again to each and everyone of you!
Hours are going to have to be flexible until we can figure out a new schedule. With school starting and due to the redisricting of my children and no longer having transportation, it requires some changes. I will probably be getting in earlier and possibly having to leave earlier or at least for an hour to go pick them up. With sports schedules to consider to it might take us a couple of weeks to figure it all out. I would recommend calling to make sure especially if its later afternoon/early evening. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. Sorry for any inconveniences this might cause. I will do my best to still provide A++ customer service.
☆☆☆☆We hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July! Thank you to all the people who came out to the parade and cheered us on. If you got a business card at the parade that was hole punched with a star☆☆ come by and get you a FREE cupcake. We are enjoying the holiday weekend with great friends and will be open and back to normal schedule Tuesday.
A special THANK YOU to Hinson Services for getting us cooled off again. If you ever need A/C work I strongly recommend them! www.facebook.com/pages/Hinson-Services-Inc/629712183725894
We will have to be closed today. The A/C is not working properly and was 90+ degrees in the shop. And heat + cake = NOT good! The repair can't get here til later this afternoon. We should be back to normal tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience.
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: we have no phone line again now possibly due to moisture in the lines. Calls are suppose to be forwarded to my cell but reception isn't always great. Internet is in and out as well. Please be patient with us while they are repairing this issue. Suppose to be repaired no later than 7pm tonight. Thank you for your patience.
