- I have degrees in math and computer science, which worked out well because they paid the bills, but my true loves are riding, animal training, art, music, and writing.
My husband, Leslie, and I have been married for 30 years, something which most of our friends never expected, and which I attribute to his interest in horses and home remodeling projects.
I taught horse back riding for 20 years, and have competed in dressage, stadium jumping, and eventing. Nowadays my horse obsession is limited to trail riding.
At this point in my life I am embarking on a new career--writing. I have a young adult novel that is currently in the hands if an editor. A romance is nearly ready. My cat sits on my desk while I write and offers advice.
- "As nightfall does not come at once, neither does
oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight
when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it
is in such twilight that we all must be most aware
of change in the air – however slight – lest we
become unwitting victims of the darkness." – Justice
of the Supreme Court, William O. Douglas
"The tragedy of our day is the climate of fear
in which we live, and fear breeds repression.
Too often sinister threats to the bill of rights, to
freedom of the mind, are concealed under the
patriotic cloak of anti-communism." Adlai
