As a parent, you never know if you're doing it right. But yesterday ...I tried my best. School was cancelled so I took the kids with me to the Capitol and they got to witness democracy in action:
1) Peaceful, but pointed teacher protests for K-12 funding
2) How universities lobby for continued support
3)Me slaying dragons of racism, classism and sexism as I presented two of my bills for hearings in the Senate committees.
Friends, it is full on war down here. And I'm here for it.
