We had one of our best breakfast in Boise! The Almonds Croissant is incredible! It's like to being Paris in a great Pàtisserie. Great customer service and awesome quality in all their products. I'd to recommend this place to every one! Look forward to go back again, so many things to try! Thanks to all the staff and the owners. See More

Stopped in here this morning to try out the quiche. Well, let me say, it did not disappoint! The crust was flaky and buttery and the filling was delicious! Reminded me of my visit to Paris years ago.

The best pastries and coffee in Boise. A bit pricey but well worth the treat.

Delicious treats, great coffee, and a very good and small dog. Will brighten up any morning for $10 or so.

Best French pastries in the Northwest (and I've been around). Wonderful people and great espresso, too!

Simply delightful pastries. The croissant had the perfect level of buttery crunchiness, and the latte was one of the best I've ever had. Heaven.

Tasty yet a touch over priced. I'd go back for the apple tart as a special occasion type of treat. Was kind of put off by the experience - asked for a drink (lemonade) and was told "she's too to make that right now". Unsure what that even means but there was one other customer in there with me. Around Noon. On a weekday. I'm glad I tried it. Not in a hurry to go back. Unsure of how they are going to make it....... See More

We visited at about 10 on a Saturday morning and the selection looked sad and pretty depleted. I had planned to purchase a selection of their famous macarons, but were told they no longer made them be...cause nobody was buying then at $4 apiece... and we were then treated to a rant on the price of almond flour. Half the staff seemed worried, tired, and stressed and the owners fussed around with a negative and agitated vibe and seemed exasperated when waiting on customers. We ordered croissants, all of which were overbaked (the ones in the case all seemed to be, as well) and a strawberry tart, which was "meh" and lacked flavor. The coffee was okay, just nothing to write home about. Honestly, after all the hype I encountered in its first couple of years, I've discovered that Janjou must simply no longer be the place it must have been, when it opened. I don't feel the need to offer any return business or recommend this place to any of my friends. See More

Absolutely delicious, I was born in France and it is hard sometimes to find pastries that are worth the calories. With Janjou I felt as if I was back in France... the best I have eaten in months. Than...k you for everything you do ... See More

I haven't tasted their baked goods yet since I ordered them to go. But just based on their services, I only would give a 2 star, maybe it's just the particular person (short hair mid-age lady) I ran i...nto today was annoying. She was extremely rude. Did not answer any of my questions patiently and kept putting out the attitude like that we don't deserve to eat their pastries. I asked about batch order price. Rather than answering my question directly, she said that they are not costco. Yeah, you are definitely not costco because Costco's customer services are 10 times better than yours. We got many goods and asked for a to go bag so that we don't need to carry them with our hands full. She refused. They just need to change their attitude towards customers. Overall, a very disappointed visit! See More

The second we sip the latte and take a bite of the pastry we are instantly transported to Europe. They really know how to make authentic French pastries! Delicious!

The pastries were so wonderful. They are worth every penny. You walk through the door and can see immediately that you are in the presence of an artist. I had a chocolate almond croissant and a brioch...e bun. And I will be working my way through the rest of the pastries every payday! See More
