#ANNOUNCEMENT The BET Experience Youth Program is a free two-day educational development program that serves students from high schools in Los Angeles interested in careers in the music and entertainment industry. The program is in its 7th year and will run from June 21 to June 23 at L.A. LIVE. for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.

The BET Experience Youth Program gives students an opportunity to learn about different aspects of the music industry including music j...ournalism, event production and the history of music and its expansive contributions to American culture. The BET Youth Experience kicks off with a guided tour of the BET exhibit and first of the Genius Talk lecture series. In the past Genius Talk speakers’ have featured high profile celebrities and influencers such as Gabrielle Union, DJ Khaled, Snoop Dog, Jermaine Dupree, Kirk Franklin and more. During the remainder of the three-day program, students sit in on industry panels with celebrities, executives and BET employees and attend BET Experience events. The program is capped off by attending the BET Awards at Microsoft Theater on June 23. Through the program, students build confidence, connections, and a broad understanding of all aspects of the entertainment industry.
