Some demos I recorded over the years:
An old performance. I remember being sick with a sore throat that night, but the show must('ve) go(ne) on!
I just finished writing this, my first song in 6 years, inspired by the recent passing of a friend and young mother of three.
Besides my Barrington Coffee House show with Carsie Blanton on October 29th in South Jersey, for those of you in Central Jersey, I'll be the featured artist the following Thursday, November 3rd, at Princeton's Updike Farmstead. It's actually an open mic run by The Princeton Historical Society with a featured performer thrown in for an extended set, so performers are welcome. Here's their link for those interested.
I don't think I've been mentioned in a newspaper since high school. Cool, but now I can't suck like I had planned!
I was pleasantly surprised to have an offer waiting for another gig when I came home from my first show the other night. 8th Street Music in Pennsauken, NJ is having a big tent sale this weekend with lots of musical entertainment throughout. I'm a small part of that entertainment. My set is Sunday from 1-2pm. Come on by if you're free!
My first solo show will be at The Barrington Coffee House opening for the British singer/songwriter Rupert Wates October 2nd. $10 cover. Great food. Great coffee. I hope you can make it. Also, I just put up a couple of new songs at http://www.myspace.com/jeffswainmusic along with a recording of me meeting my new guitar. Not to worry, I'll be shopping for straightjackets soon.
First gig down. Hopefully many more to come. Went well, I think. A cozy little house concert. A great night of original songs. I co-headlined along with 3 very talented musicians and songwriters --- John DeLise and the duo The Lyra Project. The bill is below.
This was such a small venue that I didn't want to announce it, but I will announce any future shows through this FB page. I do have a gig set up for October 2nd at the Barrington Coffee House, but maybe I'll book some others before then. We'll see.
Found out just before the deadline about a Philadelphia area singer/songwriter "love song" contest, so I just replaced the Nashville vocalist on my song, Surrender, with my own and remixed it. It's up on my MySpace Music page if you wanna give it a listen.
Hi, everyone! I just added a country song, "Surrender", that I wrote a little while back that was recorded by Nashville demo musicians. The voice ain't mine, but at that point I was shopping songs as a songwriter and wasn't considering performing as an artist. It won't quite fit on my upcoming album, but it's one I'm glad to have written. I hope you like it! http://www.myspace.com/jeffswainmusic Peace! Jeff
