BREAKING: The U.S. Senate just voted to confirm Galva, Kansas, nativ...e Toby Crouse to serve as a federal judge for the United States Federal District Court for the District of Kansas.
Toby Crouse is a skilled attorney who has demonstrated his judicial views and respect for the rule of law throughout his career in private practice, as a clerk for Tenth Circuit Judge Mary Briscoe and as the Kansas Solicitor General. He is well qualified for this appointment, and I look forward to him taking his seat as a judge for the Federal District Court of Kansas. See More

On Saturday, I addressed a group of Kansas students before their int...erviews with my Service Academy Selection Board, another step in the process of securing a nomination to one of our nation’s service academies. Each year, I am impressed at the caliber of young men and women that apply through my office for a nomination to follow their dream of serving our country, and this year was no different.
I am proud of these young Kansans for their desire to serve our nation and wished them the best of luck in their interviews. See More
Hess Services in Hays is a success story for the whole community. Started by Dan Hess, it now employs over 350 Kansans and sell their products to customers around the country. I was pleased to receive a tour of one of their facilities in Hays at the invite of City Commissioner Sandy Jacobs this week. During the tour, we discussed challenges and opportunities before the company, including infrastructure and a need to complete the Northwest Business Corridor Project, which I am actively supporting and working to bolster their efforts to finish. Thanks to the Hess brothers for their informative tour and productive conversation, and to a number all of the local officials and community leaders that joined us.
