Things are getting busy. On September 8, I'm playing at Bennington College for Melissa Leland's last day with my friends Dane Whitman, David Norman and Amy Kuzmicki. On September 13, I'm participating in the Greater Northshire Access Television telethon to benefit Meals on Wheels. Then on September 16, I'm playing keyboards with Grateful Dead cover band The Wheel. Finally, on September 23rd, I'll be in Hartford Connecticut to sing with a large group of Trinity College alumni in celebration of Gerry Moshell as he retires after 40 years of teaching, conducting and being a good-natured gadfly.
What an incredible weekend. From the ethereal experience of singing with Tom Bogdan's group in New York to the soul and gospel music of Garcia with "Dear Jerry," I've had a couple of very busy but most enjoyable days. Time to recharge the batteries and decompress. Many thanks to everyone who attended these events, the musicians who shared their talents and the welcoming venues- Jim Hodges' Queenslab and the fabulous Strand Theater in Hudson Falls, NY.- who ran everything so smoothly with care and hospitality. I am most grateful.
Looking forward to playing the soul, blues, Motown, gospel that informed Jerry Garcia's music at the Strand Theater on July 15.https://www.facebook.com/events/789208364593584/
