Anyone who lives in the state is eligible to walk into the Center for Independent Living and request a device. Nolls said recipients must prove they have a disability and a need for the device and have phone service or a cellphone plan.
Superintendent Steve Ptacek said the district will begin moving into the building in three weeks and he hopes to have the office fully operational at the new West State Street location by May.

“The center was built for the community to have functions, birthday parties, anniversary parties,” Crane said. “They kept the gym standing, so now we are trying to restore the gym back to where it use to be.”
Following the protest, seven Griggsville-Perry students were suspended for two days and sent home with a letter telling their parents why they were suspended.
The Crisis Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide assistance to domestic violence victims.
Morgan County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Mike Carmody and Jacksonville Police Lt. Chris Johnson are the two Republican candidates. There is no Democratic candidate.
