I had the life changing experience of being an sales rep for Marion Labs from 1970 to 1980. When I was selected as National Sales Rep of the year out of 400+ reps my last year, I went out on my own t...o start my own medical company. I had learned that hard work, problem solving skills, and knowing where to focus my efforts would help me succeed. This experience helped my take a cardiac pacemaker brand from zero market share to 65% share over the next five years. Tough, competitive market with the big, entrenched companies that could not understand what happened when they lost top market share to a drug rep with no pacemaker experience. I went on to start several other successful medical companies in mobile medical diagnostics and home medical equipment, using the skills and competitiveness I learned at Marion Labs.
