This young man has raw talent, and a lot of guts. He manages to catch both the action of the shots and the soul of the animal. Bright future ahead, keep at it!

I've seen your work in the San Francisco Chronicle a couple times this year! Great shots!

Had the pleasure of taking this drone photo of the recovery of a sub adult male Great White off the beach of Capitola today. California Dept. of Fish and WIldlife and the Marine Mammal Center managed today's recovery and last night's multiple rescue attempts

April and May are some of the best months to view killer whales in the Monterey Bay. Here are two surfacing with MBARIs R/V Rachael Carson in the background.

Im so stoked to announce that I will be the Naturalist aboard the Liseron for the Summer 2017 season. The Boat Company is one of the smallest and most coveted eco-cruise ship companies in Alaska and is a non-profit. Come visit!!!

Here is a recent story on the Cement Ship. ABC 7 interviewed me and used some of my footage.

A 98-year-old ship is now in three pieces in the surf of Aptos.

Game Over S.S. Palo Alto. An Aptos icon looks good for 98.

These last few days have been phenomenal. Between seeing these sharks from helicopter, swimming with them, and kayaking with them has made this past week one for the record books. These sharks are some of the most feared and misunderstood animals on the planet. Every year humans kill over 150 million sharks for the shark fin soup industry. A great white buzzing my kayak shows exactly how big of a threat these sharks pose for us ( we have yet to experience an attack on the west coast this year). Contact Specialized Aviation in the afternoons and sea some of the most feared and misunderstood animals on the planet for yourselves!!!

Several great white sharks were spotted from the off the Central California town of Aptos – exactly where they appeared last year. El Nino is credited.

I hope everybody can make my talk tomorrow (Thursday 4/28) at Hopkins Marine Station in Pacific Grove. I will share stories about kayaking with sharks, otters and whales. Snacks and seats at 7, show time 730.

Here is a great article about whale disentanglements and all the Orcas in the Monterey Bay. They used some of my shots.

MOSS LANDING >> As orcas, gray and humpback whales feast and pass through Monterey Bay, a rescue crew spent two days this week disentangling a humpback wrapped in crab fishing gear. Kathi Koontz, director of California Whale Rescue, which

Check out his article in the San Francisco Chronicle. The Monterey Bay is infested with Orcas now, and they are hungry!!!
The Sanctuary Cruises was captained by the great Marty Lima on this epic day. Look at some of my other pics

On tranquil waters with scarcely a ripple for miles, the sea erupted in mayhem last week when five orcas attacked a juvenile gray whale. An estimated 20 orcas have arrived in Monterey Bay this month to hunt gray whale calves, often within short range of whale watching boats out of Moss Landing. From…

I was quoted again today in the San Francisco Chronicle. Things aren't looking good for Salmon Season this year. If you hear of any good reports, go out immediately.

For the opening day of salmon season, every fisherman turns into something of a gambler. Amid projections for about half the salmon in the ocean compared with last year, plus recent sea conditions that have replicated one of Admiral Byrd’s expedition, bookings are up in Monterey, down at ports that…
