Odd. Just Odd.
The waiter offered to push our table closer to the window.... Exposing all the crumbs & droppings.
Our crab cakes & cheese bread were served on red cloth napkins. The exact same napkin...s that were in our laps. I was curious what kind of laundry detergent was used to remove the grease stains... and if it was food grade detergent. It also crossed my mind if red lint was stuck on our food, because there was red lint on my black dress from napkin.
The assistant server told us that he was having a bad night because the table next to us sent their under cooked fish back. After that I couldn’t stop questioning my husband if he thought my chicken was pink. I decided to stop eating it.
About $200 for water, crab cakes, 1 salad, & 2 entrees.

We went there for our anniversary. The view was beautiful. Our waiter was ok. Barely talked to us which wouldn’t have bothered me that much, but he was overly talking to the next table. He was very fr...iendly and conversational with their table. I thought it was odd. Anyway, we were there for about 45 minutes before our order was taken. Meanwhile the waiter had been to the other table several times which made no sense. Long story short, we received our food about and hour and a half after we sat down. The food presentation was not good and that was fine but I expected it to be good. It was not. I ordered the beef tenderloin risotto. First the whole meal was really oily. The risotto was too cheesy and didn’t taste like risotto. They said it had pancetta in it and I did not taste that. The beef tasted like beef with no seasoning. My husband ordered the Penne Molica on the suggestion of the waiter. His food was even more oily than mine. It seemed like it was bathed in oil. He said it didn’t really have a taste. I wanted to complain but it was my anniversary and I didn’t want to ruin in. I promised myself that I’d write this review to warn others. These prices are extremely high for this kind of food. $32 for oily pasta is ridiculous. See More

This was by far the nastiest food I have ever experienced. The seasoning was extremely overpowering on everything including the salad. The ice cold A1sauce brought to me was horrible, broccoli was hard... and looked like it was sitting in a bowl of garlic water. The salmon was covered in so much lemon juice it was as if eating a lemon head. The highlight of my meal was the cheese bread, baked potato, and pepsi. This restaurant is beautiful but that’s all there is to it you are paying for nothing but scenery. See More

Went there for my birthdayat 5:30 on Saturday evening, the only thing I can say positive is the view was great and our waiter was alright.

I ordered the chicken parmesan and garlic and herb potatoes.... When our food arrived the potatoes were barely warm and the chicken was totally cold. Very disappointing for a $36 meal!
They offered to redo the meal but we had already been there for an hr as it was, they did only charge $18 for my meal.
Sorry to say I won't be back!

Kemoll's very beautiful love the views but the chef's throw every last one Away!! The food was absolutely disgusting. the Caesar salad taste like a bowl of gross cheese, the Blackened Salmon tasted as ...if they poured a layer of salt after cooking, the Garlic Salmon taste like nothing but lemon , the filet mignon just absolutely gross served will ICE COLD A1 sauce on the side. Best thing on the table was the Cheese bread and Coke. Smh I will never return!!! See More

We dined last night to celebrate a new job and an engagement. We made reservations early due to family having to leave early the next morning. There were 3 tables of 6 counting ours and 3 other smal...ler tables. We ordered appetizers and drinks which were delicious. Our salads were brought in a timely manner but our main entrees took forever. It was a good 45 minutes between courses. Our waiter blamed the kitchen and said he was getting on them. It put a damper on our evening as we had thought the evening would be one to remember. We actually questioned whether they are going out of business. Tables seemed to be pushed to the back wall and were not set at all. The Christmas Tree wasn't lit and our table only had 3 little votives for a center piece. We had told our kids how beautiful restaurant was and how we have always had a wonderful evening. I think we will think twice about returning. I would give the food 5 stars but the atmosphere a 2. Not the Kemolls I am use to enjoying! See More

The staff is amazing. They make a good chocolate martini & the Caesar salad is to die for! The filet though, melts in your mouth. Absolutely love Kemolls

Best restaurant meal I have had in a long time! My Filet au Poivre was perfect medium rare, the sauce creamy yet the peppercorns added a bite which cut through any potential heaviness. My husband rave...d about his Chicken Parmesan. An indication of how well the entire meal was prepared is neither of us ever reached for the salt or pepper.
Our waiter Kevin was excellent. I was able to observe him training a young woman and thought his tone and explanations with her were professional and showed a real understanding of food service.
Tip...the discounted "early" dinners are a great value. Ask for the early menu and ENJOY!

Reading other comments I am glad we did not experience what other patrons experienced.

Good service, nice view but pretentiously overpriced. I would have had just as good or better of a meal at Old Spaghetti Factory just a few blocks away at a fraction of the cost here.

Overall this was a good experience minus 2 items. The hostess nonchalantly mentioned, as she was leading us to an alternative table, that they would not be able to seat us where I requested... Arch vi...ew. I booked a few weeks in advance. Secondly, our waiter and waiter assistant/bus woman started cleaning up adjacent tables and replacing table linens directly after bringing our dinners. I did not appreciate this! We were made to feel rushed. If a 730 reservation doesn't work well with the staff they shouldn't allow us to book that late. The food prepared perfectly and wine selection was good. See More

Kemoll's has been our favorite restaraunt since 1990. You can't beat the consistently great food (Filet Douglas, Beef Tournedos Au Poivre, Linguine Monte Mari, The Fried Artichokes, Veal Marsala, Vea...l Picatta...just to name a few), and they keep adding new and exciting things to their menu. My son introduced me to their Beef Rissoto and Seafood Rissoto. But in addition to the food, the staff, led by maitre d' Paul Cerberie, is just awesome as well. Mark Cusumano has made Kemoll's into a St. Louis institution. See More

My wife and I went there for my Birthday dinner. I made reservations two weeks in advance and requested a table next to the east or west windows. We got a table on the north window instead. There an open table on an east window. I asked the hostess if we could sit there. I was told no and nothing else.

Now on to the food and service... The service was slow and lacking. Every time we needed a refill on our drinks, we had to ask. We had to ask for garlic bread. The crab cakes were nothing close to what you get in Maryland.

Then the main entree. I ordered a filet medium rare and a "cold water" lobster tail. The filet came out very well done. They took the plate back and then when my wife was almost finished eating, they brought another lobster tail out. It was over cooked and very much tasted like a warm water tail. Then the second filet came out, it was medium well. I was so frustrated at that point, I just ate it. I was going to order banana fosters, but after all that no way. I was thing they might offer me a complimentary dessert or some, but that did not happen. I will not be back. At those prices the food and service should be impeccable.
