About Ken
- I am a retired teacher in Easley SC. Teaching was my second career. I am also retired from the Air Force. I used to teach at Donaldson Career Center in the '90s. After that, I taught at Northwest Middle school in Travelers Rest, and Simpson Academy in Easley. I have also taught college courses part-time for The University of Maryland, Central Texas College, and Greenville Tech. Most recently I taught 9th and 10th grade geography and world history. I originally tried to set up this web-page to post practice tests and other items related to my classes. However, Facebook at that time would not allow a high school affiliated member to be my age. So I used Myspace instead. I still have a Myspace account. I am listed there as Mr. Harkins. I have more stuff there than here. Now, I have found that Facebook has changed its rules and many people are switching from Myspace to Facebook so I thought it might be a great way to keep in touch with former students and relatives. If you are one of my them, please feel free to contact me. I would be happy to learn how you are doing.
