Four years ago today, Tom Keifer (Official) asked me to come by rehearsal and ‘jam’ for a couple songs. Hasn’t been able to get rid of me ever since. I LOVE being in the #KeiferBand family 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

This is a repost from my personal page, but I wanted to share it with you all❤️
Then and Now: This is a delicate topic and there's no easy way to approach it, but I can't be silent and pretend it doesn't exist. It's Eating Disorder Awareness Week. I have never publicly shared this, but I lived for years with an eating disorder and for most of that time, I was completely isolated in my illness. I told no one, I was a pro at hiding the signs and anyone who began to question m...y behavior simply got pushed away. I lost relationships because I was completely unavailable. At my worst, I was underweight, facing kidney failure, mineral deficient and incredibly depressed. I am happy to say I am on the other side of the worst of it and this is only because people in my world refused to pretend I was fine and got involved. Do not ignore it if you feel like someone you love may have an issue and whatever you do, DON'T JUDGE. Skinny isn't an accomplishment. Health doesn't look the same on everyone. I've had a long road to recovery but ultimately found relief from exercise I actually enjoy instead of viewing it as a punishment or "payment" for what I ate, making a consistent effort to embrace my individuality and love the things about me that are unique (flaws and all ya'll) and recognizing I will never be a person that can count every calorie or weigh myself often- those are things that drove me crazy so I let them go. Now, I try to just intuitively do what feels best in the moment. If I need my butt kicked, I go to @barrysbootcamp, if I need to relax I go to yoga, if I need rest, I sleep and if I want chocolate, I eat it. If ONE person realizes they need help, or someone they know needs help because of this, then my struggle wasn't in vain. The NEDA hotline number is (800)931-2237 or if you're local, check out YOU ARE NOT ALONE. If you don't want to talk to anyone you know about this, and you stumble upon this message via social media, I am happy to talk to you. Reach out. Don't quietly suffer any longer. You are absolutely worthy of love and a joyful life free of this madness!
