OK, us Prophets have been kind of hibernating lately but for whatever reason we're back on the rails. Who's got a gig for us? Bring it on, message me, whatever, we're ready to go. New songs written, playing them at Lake Harriet Bandshell on Friday June 13 (perfect…), new record done by the end of the summer I'd wager.

This is exactly why I love my job. Spent today writing with Madilyn Bailey. I had a song idea that I have her a week or 2 ago, she shows up with a PERFECT chorus, ready to go. I had some lyrics written down and they fit with her thing like 2 puzzle pieces. This girl is one of my favorite people to write with of any age, anywhere. Mind like a steel trap and an amazing voice, those 2 things ummmmm, rarely go together. Watch her close, over the next year or so she's going to put out some really cool music.

Heading out the door and up into Laurel Canyon today with my pal Mark Boone Jr (Bobby Elvis from Sons Of Anarchy) to record a vocal on a version of "Bang Bang" at Danny Hutton from 3 Dog Night's home studio. Now that's what I call a cool day at the office. Boone's got a baritone so big that tubas run for cover when he starts in singing.
