Kingman Sand Drags extend our deepest sorrow to Rick Cameron Family for your loss. All our thoughts and prayers go out to you.
It is with great sadness that I share with you the passing of one of our friends: Top Fuel Sand Drag Racer, Rick Cameron, passed away this evening. Our team has... known Rick and really his entire family for about 15 years.
For most racers we may know a number, a vehicle type and occasionally put a face to the name if we are lucky enough to see you without a helmet. Rick was a very different type of racer from when we first met him at Primm many years ago at our first Sand Drag race. We got to know him, his sons, his family and his crew. He always had a smile and never forgot how to have fun while racing. Something many of us could learn from.
Rick just raced two weeks ago at the So Cal Sand Drag Association Victorville race and just as he always did after his pass, he gave me a hug and thanked our team for being there.
Rick I will sincerely miss your smile. Your hug at the end of your run and your dedication to the sport. To the entire Cameron family, we share in your loss as he was our family as well.
We will forward information about services once they become available from the family. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.
The 2015 Race Season will have to be on hold for Fast Track Racing.
Ken and Fern Larson of Fast Track Racing would like to let all of their racers know they are working hard to recover financially to be able to get back to putting on great Sand Drags Events. Last year cost Fast Track Racing too much in lost revenue on top of heavy family medical bills to be able to race at this time.
Racers if you know of any businesses or racers that would like to step up and sponsor a race ...please contact Ken at 928-587-9385. Until Fast Track gets back on their feet the race season will be on hold.
Thank you to all the great racers and race teams for your support.
