The King’s Bridge community is focussed on spanning the gap between the culture of Christianity and the world beyond it. These bridge building efforts are currently expressed in poverty reduction and community development work, through a biweekly gathering called The Caim, and through weekly shared community meals.
The Caim is named after an ancient Celtic circle of sanctuary and protection. Each Caim gathering is centred on the mystical presence of Christ. This single circ...le then spirals out into several creative circles exploring visual arts, music, movement, up-cycling discarded goods and promoting poverty reduction in the public sphere, among other activities. The different areas these groups explore builds common ground outside of religious ideology, allowing bridges to be built reaching beyond the church community.
King's Bridge Church's various gatherings take place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. For more information, please send a message.
