Crapitalism
Just came across another discussion of my book, Orca, on Twitter. I wrote it in 1994 or 95, basing it on the financial collapse of 1987 (S &L failures) combine...d with a not-too-far-fetched conspiracy theory suggested by my friend David Green. It came out just in time to "predict" the Asian financial crisis of 1997, and I looked like a genius.
Since then, every few years, someone has said, "Wow! Steve predicted this financial crisis we're in back in '96!"
Every few years.
My point is, this says very little about my book, and a great deal about capitalism.
