Friends and fellow residents of Savoy. It has come to my attention that several of you are disappointed in my quote in today's News-Gazette. I want to apologize for that. I would like you to know that I had a twenty minute conversation with the author of the article and the one quote she chose to share was taken out of context. I did say something along the lines of we (referring to me and my wife) knew we wouldn't have a high school in Savoy when we moved here in 2009. This ...was taken totally out of context and was in no way a response to what Mary Combs had to say. What I did talk about was how I would like to see more intergovernmental collaboration between all elected officials including our elected officials in the Village of Savoy. It was my understanding that my conversation was more about the Village officials being left out of the conversation and if as a Savoy resident did I feel the same way. If elected, one of the things I would like to work on is strengthening relationships between the Board of Education and the community in its entirety.
I've been putting up yard signs each morning this week on my way into work. I would love to place one in your yard if you would like to show your support for my campaign. Message me if you would like one.
