It was great to attend the Poole Regatta Sponsor Lunch last week at the Royal Motor Yacht Club. The Knot Agency is the Regatta Marketing Partner. It was fantastic to meet other sponsors and potential sponsors to talk more about the plans for the event over a super lunch. Looks like it will be another unmissable three days in 2018. A particularly huge thank you to Coleman Insurance Brokers who have now signed up as a bronze sponsor. http://ow.ly/Vn7030fKhxS

Lets look after the sea and the environment we sail in. A huge job to do, but every effort makes a difference. With organisations like the Marine Conservation Society and the Young People's Trust for the Environment taking action and educating people in conjunction with support from companies like Waitrose we can eventually make the sea a cleaner environment for all.

Inspiring to read about these young sailors and the work they have done with the restoration of Scaramouche and learning to sail. Completing the Fastnet as well makes it an even more fantastic achievement. Their story should encourage more to follow in their path and we in the industry should give them every opportunity to talk about and share their experience.

Interesting. It is a logical step from the Facebook shopping option for business pages, but how natural will it be as a product idea generator, rather than a shop dressed up slightly differently. How quickly will the likes of Pintrest and Instagram respond? Will people accept an Amazon as a social tool? Many questions regarding this, which will surely be answered in the next few months.

Amazon Spark will even let you replicate CEO Jeff Bezos' look.

Yesterday we attended the Better Energy School Awards prize giving at ZSL London Zoo organised and run by Young People's Trust for the Environment of which Chris is a trustee. It was great to see so many children excited about their projects and receiving their awards. From studying bees through to creating little aliens called "Whatif's", returning from space with Tim Peake and looking at the issues of plastic, energy waste etc, a huge amount of effort was put in by them a...ll. The prizes were given out by Young People's Trust for the Environment presidents Naomi Wilkinson and Adrian Cale, who were joined by Andy Stanton, Shannon Flynn, Katie Thistleton, Nicholas Daines and Leona Kate Vaughan. Over 23,000 children participated in the awards this year, which is a huge number. Big thanks to Total for sponsoring the awards and supporting the work of the Young People's Trust for the Environment.
