Only 1 grocery store and it's not cheap, no crosswalk or sidewalk for the doctor's office, no bus service, no cab service, streets take forever to get plowed, no door to door mail delivery, no Tim Hor...tons and the campground is a converted farmers field.... Other than that it's not a bad place to live. See More

March 13: Council reviewed the Committee Reports for Community Futures Wildrose, Canadian Badlands, and Drumheller Solid Waste, and the Follow Up Action List.

March 13: Council passed a motion to review Community Policing information (costs and criteria) for consideration for the 2019 Budget.

March 13: Council reviewed the Strategic Priorities Chart and the changes that were made last meeting, with Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks and an Economic Development Strategy moves into Now column.

March 13 at 9:33am- Emergency crews are on scene at a traffic accident on Highway 27 west of Highway 21. Traffic is being detoured onto Range Road 25-1 and 25-3. Please avoid the area to allow crews to work safely.

March 13: Aerial Photo Joint Project approved to join other counties in this ortho-photo initiative, with funding of $58,061 to come from the IT Reserve.

March 13: AAMDC Resolutions reviewed by Council in preparation for the AAMDC convention next week. Out of the 12 Resolutions, Council specifically reviewed the Wind Energy Regulations Required at Provincial Level, proposed by the County of Paintearth.

Mar 13: Council appoints Doug Fretz as Torrington Fire Chief and Jason Michielsen as Torrington Deputy Fire Chief.
