This afternoon at lehigh city Hall, where it is a very, very busy day here on election day and some very long lines for those who are wanting to vote were going to come over here and give you a look We're hearing from people who are walking out of voting here that it has been a two -hour wait for them to be able to vote here in lehigh this Been working explain why there's some issues here at the moment, but you can see the line starts here And those across there and then comes through the building Yeah Into the Council chambers, you can see people come in and right. There you see that orange box the Was the box for those that have filled out mailed ballots and they're posting those they're. So they're not having to wait so if you do have email ballot, you can walk right in drop. It off here at city Hall, but if you do need to vote, there is a line that is about two hours long. So the reason for it. What we're being told at least, is because most of the election this year has been vote-by-mail the minimize the number of polling locations here in lehigh to two here at city Hall and then also my credit Union up on the North end of the city near The outlet, malls and so we're hearing there, having similar long lines there as well, also have to report the smith's out and saratoga springs is a very long line of about an hour and a half as well, because they've consolidated this polling locations and visit with a couple who just walked out of here a moment ago and they said it was two hours and a little bit frustrating for them because one of their ballots did not come in the mail they said they call the County clerk's office and ask for to be Santa Still did not show up in time for them to be able to get their ballot and so what the voting officials here are suggesting that if it's too long of a line for people now that they come back here between two and five, this afternoon, they believe that things will be slower at that time, but obviously this evening, when people get off work between five and eight tonight, it will likely be a very busy night for those who were coming to vote here in lehigh so please plan accordingly, with the impact you of course, the rule always as long as you are in line at eight o'clock tonight When the polls close they will still let you vote as long as you are in line at eight o'clock tonight. So that's the story here in lehigh some very long lines of course, it's encouraging to see the good turn out. Some people uh obviously believe, though, that they should have had more polling locations and the vote-by-mail system was not perfect. Some of the people said that's.
