One of the great things about the La Crosse View app and our new series of connected weather stations, is their ability to be expanded and added on to. In this video, we will show you how to add additional sensors or stations to your system for monitoring new locations, as well as how to remove unwanted or potentially duplicate devices. So, let's get started. To add new devices to your La Crosse View app, simply enter your main menu, select the Devices tab, and press the ADD DEVICE button at the bottom. Android users, you may see a blue Plus button instead. The next "Scan Device" page will allow you to either scan in your new device ID, or type it in manually if for some reason your camera isn't picking up the bar code. These IDs can be found on the back, bottom, or even inside our device's battery compartments. If you choose to manually type in your device ID, make sure to enter it correctly. As it's pretty easy to mix up 8's and B's, 0's and O's, and upper case I's with lower case L's. But once your device's ID is typed or scanned in correctly, you'll be presented with an image of that device with its corresponding ID. If these match, simply press YES at the bottom. The next screen will allow you to give this device a name, and add it to a location. If you'd like to add a new location, simply tap inside the box below "Location Name" and start typing. We should note that in this example, because we are only adding a sensor, after we press DONE on this screen the app will bring us back to our Devices page with this new sensor added under our selected location. But if we were adding a new station for instance, there would be additional Time Zone and ZIP code information that would need to be entered, along with another Connect Wi-Fi page where you'll need to enter your Wi-Fi password to connect the station to the Internet. If you are adding a station, we suggest reviewing our Station Setup & App Connection support video, as it will walk you through these specific steps. So now that we've shown you how to add devices to your La Crosse View app, let's go over how to remove them. One of the most common reasons for wanting to delete a device is that it may have been added more than once. Meaning you have that same sensor or station duplicated in your app. You can check to see if you have duplicate devices simply by checking their device IDs at the bottom of their device pages. But for whatever reason, if you wish to delete a device, simply navigate back to the Devices page through the main menu. Here, if you're on an iOS device, you'll see red circles next to each of your device names. Simply tap this red circle next to the device you wish to delete, and then press Delete to the right. If you're an Android user, simply press on the device you wish to delete and swipe left. This will remove the device from your app. We hope this video helped you to better understand how to add and remove devices in the La Crosse View app. But if you should have further questions or issues with any of the topics covered, please just let us know in the YouTube comments section below.
