Always ensure you know the symptoms of the diseases in your local areas, and avoid spreading them with good biosecurity measures.
Samples are taken to investigate the cause of the disease and mortality, these include virology material and where possible, bacteriology and histology sample m...aterial. Further samples may be taken if other diseases are suspected, this is at the discretion of the Inspector. A sad loss to our industry.
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Dr Herbert Axelrod, who was a pioneer in the development of the hobby after WWII and helped shape the... modern aquarium industry.
His many contributions to the industry include founding the iconic ‘Tropical Hobbyist Magazine’ in 1952, being the author of many books about the industry and extensive field work leading to discovery of new species.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Are fish nosey? Most fish definitely like to view what's going on with their neighbours!
