I recently got married there. The prep was wonderful i got to work with Mrs. Goodwin who was absolutely amazing. Then The weekend finally came. Sad to say, the beautiful scenery and the magic of the r...esort was short lived. The staff was rude, the food was average we got food else where due to disappointment, and the maid service was only there because i had to ask for it. My wedding day was spectacular, the ceremony and reception was a fairy tale. This place is great for events not for accommodation. I was there for 2 nights my room key stopped working over a dozen times , I was in the bridal sweet so i expected the vip treatment. Honestly if the venue wasn’t so breathtaking i would have only left star. See More

Unfortunately my girlfriend and I were placed in the wrong room. We had reservations for a mountain view room and when we arrived, the front desk staff said we had a great spot with great views and t...hey'd call us when it was ready. Our bags were tagged to room 376 and we waited while the room was readied. When we got the call, we were surprised to see room 371 and when we arrived to the room, we were greeted with a view of the parking lot. So disappointed. Went to ask the front desk if there was a mistake... and they said there was nothing that could be done. So we made a reservation for a mountain view room and were promised nice views but ended up with the parking lot no view room. So let down. So disappointed. See More

My family and I had a lovely time. We were greated with courtesy upon arrival and every staff member we encountered was equally professional. The room was clean and ready much earlier than expected. ...I can't complain one bit about our experience there. We did wait for 40 minutes to be seated for dinner, but I failed to make reservations on a busy, long weekend. However, the comfy couches made the wait bearable. We requested a late check out and it was granted without a fee, which was quite refreshing. I also loved the location: it's walking distance to Lake Arrowhead Village and only 8 minutes from Santa's Village, plus a gorgeous view! We will definitely be vacationing here again soon. See More

The beds were great but I didn't get much sleep thanks to a crazy loud wedding and wedding party happen to be staying stayed next door. Room was right by the lobby entrance and could not sleep thanks the weddings every night. Did get to hear some horrible singing at 12 am and a very inappropriate conversation at 2 am thanks to the lobby entrance. The sliding glass door offered no sound barrier that you could hear every conversation of the people smoking by the front door. Bartender at the bar would ignore us even though we were the only people there. I would've probably enjoyed my stay better if I got to sleep but nope and if you call the front desk all they say "yes people are leaving and nothing we can do. Have a great night." See More

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights 5 days and really enjoyed the time we had very clean and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this for your stay in California. I would also recommend eating and ...having a drink down in the hotel restaurant bin 189 very good food and staff. See More

We stayed at the resort this weekend.
We found our room very cold never got above 60 degrees.
I complained when we checked out, then called this afternoon and left message for the manager telling hi...m how disappointed in the temp in our room.
He called back within an hour of my call, apologizing for our rough night.
He offered to refund the cost of our room, or send me a gift certificate for a future visit.
Because of Sam, we opted to go back, and give it another chance.
It is a beautiful location, and this was our second trip up there.
Sam indicated they are very concerned that every guest is "Happy with their stay"
I am all about Customer service, and Sam the Manager is the Best!
Please consider this resort in your future Mountain Get Away!!

My trip to Lake Arrowhead was not just any trip, it was a special trip just for my mom to fulfill her wish! I had booked very last minute and I called the resort to see if they can accommodate a lake ...view room for my mom whom is battling cancer. They were very nice over the phone and assured me they will find something. When I arrived my mom received a very memorable welcome! All I can say is thank you!! You really made this moment special for my mom and she will always remember it in her heart! I wish I had time to thank the associates that made this happen for her. I used to work in a 4 diamond resort and supervised front services. So i felt the need to leave this review to better help you improve. We arrived and hotel greeted us with a nice welcome, as they sho...uld. Staff was always smiling which in this industry is a huge plus. Great job. I arrived at 9am and was allowed an early check due to a business meeting. That was very pleasant and nice of the hotel. Immediately noticed the AAA 4 diamond award on the wall behind staff. That's when I started noticing details. While walking to my room located in the West wing 276. I noticed this was the furthest room in the property. That's fine. Upon room arrival. I opened the door to a huge heatwave. ROOM WAS 91° way too hot. It was obvious that it was left on for a long period because the counter top, sheets, walls, bathroom floor was HOT. these rooms should be monitored daily before guests arrive. Breakfast at the restaurant was decent. Not 4 diamond. My previous hotel had a great menu and food was amazing. Every dish should make the guest want to return. Sadly I didnt feel that way. I found a restaurant outside of the hotel. All in All my stay was ok. Not outstanding . Not impressive. This property has soo much potential but Some things need to be brought to the GM's attention. We were only there for 1 day New Year's and our room was bigger than we expected actually very roomy which was great because we had our teens and plenty of outlets to plug in electronics. Staff was ...very welcoming and were able to check in early! We walked around the property and beach by lake. It was pretty quiet. I was so greatful beds were comfortable and i was able to sleep soundly! I got my much need sleep. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!! See More

Lake Arrowhead is beautiful and I would highly recommend that anyone should visit this cool little town, Lake Arrowhead Resort? not so much. My girlfriend and I decided to spend our Thanksgiving ...weekend at the resort to start our winter holiday off with a bang, but it ended up with the hot splatter of disappointment. We reserved a room well in advance of the holiday weekend and were more than willing to pay the $375/night for “LAKE VIEW” patio. Lake view? Ah, not so much, in fact, not at all. We actually had a view of some trees and a concrete rain gutter. To be fair, if you knew a few advanced yoga posses you MIGHT have been able to get a peek of the lake from our patio, might. When we called to complain about this rip off we were told that we couldn’t be moved to a room that actually had a view and that this was our first time staying at the hotel so we just aren’t use to it. You’re right!! We aren’t use to getting lied to and ripped off!! They did eventually give us a whole $30/night off the room(which by the way is what you would pay for a view of the parking lot). IF you decide to visit Lake Arrowhead, please save your dough and find a cabin to rent or stay at one of the more rustic, quaint hotels on the mountain. The staff was nice at The Lake Arrowhead Resort but that’s about the only positive thing we can say about this JIP of a hotel. It was a nice escape from hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. We celebrated our 7th year annivesary. It a nice place to relax by the mountain and by the lake. BIN 189 we had our first breakfast there my ...husband didnt like the huevoa ranchero particularly he said taste was flat. First thing i noticed was the smell of the room is not good can't explain but i wish it would be more fresh and refreshing. Everyone was nice and pleasant. I hope there will be more fun activities to do in the hotel. See More

Saved 75k Marriott points over my lifetime and spent them all on what I had hoped would be a nice, upscale, romantic weekend with my husband. The first room they sent us to wasn't cleaned (no sheets, ...bedspread on the couch, crap on tables and ground). Second room, also on the first floor, was literally ON the pool. Insert hundreds of screaming kids here (and some family movie blaring at night from pool area). Not what you would call peaceful and relaxing. We checked in at 3, changed in our room and headed to the clean towels. Um. Check-in time for everyone is do you not have towels for guests? Awesome.
Fast forward to dinner. We reserved a table at their Bin 189 restaurant for an anniversary dinner and as soon as we sat down, we regretted it. Again, a whole bunch of loud kids at the tables around us. Echoing chaos. We brought an expensive bottle of wine and the waitress walked up with the equivalent of a picnic basket set of wine glasses. (Tiny, thick...certainly not what you would expect when the entrance is a floor to ceiling set of wine bottles on display.) As we reviewed the very short menu of mostly sandwiches and burgers with ONE nice steak, chicken and fish option (though online claimed to be THE fancy spot for fine dining)...we overheard the tables around us complaining about how bad the food was. We ended up splitting an $18 underwhelming cheese plate and finding an alternative dinner arrangement.
While trying to sleep that night, we heard stomping footsteps in the room above us as people moved around into the very late evening which kept us awake until after 1 am. The hotel itself is not very sound proof. The bathroom has a small 1 sink vanity with 3-4 inches of counterspace on either side. Not enough to use toiletries with.
Day 2:
After spending the day at the beach (which is also a chaotic mess of screaming children) and village, we returned to our room at 2:30 to find it still hadn't been cleaned and no cleaning crew in sight. (My husband had gone to the room at 1 pm to use the restroom and they were working on the room next door so we had assumed ours would be next. Not the case. Unsure why we were skipped.) So we called the front desk and they said they would send a team immediately to clean. We left so that they could clean and returned again at 5...the room was still untouched. So we called again...and again they said the would send someone immediately. At 5:30 pm they finally sent someone to clean, who told us they were out of clean towels and in the morning we should call the front desk for towels if we wanted to shower.
What kind of management team can't seem to figure out how to properly manage a $450/night hotel? I have had better service and a nicer room at a Motel 6. I fully regret wasting time and points at this hotel. Wish we could redo our anniversary weekend at a proper hotel.
If you have a very loud family and don't care about ambiance or customer service, this is the perfect hotel for you.

Went to the restaurant for my birthday dinner. The menu has changed and there are very few selections on it. The food was good, but we chose a dinner for two. It came on serving plates, but without... serving utensils. Had to to use my fork to serve myself mashed potatoes. The service was fair to good, even though their were very few other customers. My wife and I first discovered the resort when we were invited to attend a wedding here. We fell in love with it and have come here every year since. The restaurant is priced fairly and the food / dri...nks are good. The rooms are nice and comfortable, most with a view of the lake. If you are looking for a family friendly place to relax by a fire in the mountains and get a good massage at the spa I highly suggest it.

I have seen some negative reviews on here and wanted to offer my own take in hopes it drown out the noise. Seriously, anyone who has a problem with this place is probably super uptight anyway. Relax and chill. Take in the beauty of the area. It’s all good.

Hello all, my family and i really wanted to spend some quality time before the kids go off to school from summer vacation. What we taught we be a wonderful vacation turned out to be and awful experien...ce from the start. No early check in with 2 small kids, employees don't smile and have an attitude when you start asking questions like (why?), in house restaurant was another mess, the food order arrived an hour late, burgers were not well done (cold) and when i called for the manager she was embarrassed for her own staff. Anyhow, couple of days spent there with one horrible experience to another. The icing on the cake was check out at 11a.m on n a weekend with no accommodation to later check out even if you are willing to pay again customer was horrible. See More

The location was great, the staff was friendly. The rooms r very nice. However, I think the food needs some help. When I am in cool weather I want warm comfort food ie; spareribs, meatloaf & roast chi...cken. The Restaurant did have tomato soup (which was served cold & with teaspoons) when I asked for soup spoons I was told “they were being washed”. What? they only have 2? At least we got Marriott points. I visited Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa as a venue for my wedding ceremony and reception and absolutely fell in love with it. It’s a beautiful place in a beautiful location and I totally recommend it.... Ask for Lisa Fleming, she’s awesome. See More

Here's the scoop's a lovely place to relax and enjoy this beautiful Lake but some things have not been given attention....their little beach had a broken chair, smashed to bits, there was a...n umbrella toppled over and asorted trash. I looked around and noticed that there weren't any trash containers and for that matter, there isn't any person supervising or at least, checking. It reminds me of when children take out their toys and there aren't any adults nearby to put things back in order.
Our room was comfortable but there is a mold issue in the shower! The view we had was could see Lake Arrowhead through the trees. And there were some adorable squirrels looking up at us. The A C. Worked well in our room which was a relief from the lobby. We attended a wedding here and couldn't believe how warm it was throughout the resort. Our friend asked about it and was told by the staff they were working on it... we were there for two days and it didn't improve!
The staff in the bar and restaurant were lovely. They were attentive and warm. We completely enjoyed our lunch while we were there.A shout out to Tim for making us feel so special!
So folks in conclusion, I would love to return to this beautiful lake, I just may not stay at this resort again. It did seem perfect for the kiddies. I saw them enjoying the pool and their little beach!

Location is great and the staff on the front lines was very attentive and friendly. The room was horrible, 2 large stains on the carpet and very outdated. Management gets 1 star. I reached out twic...e looking for some sort of response and got zero! Not sure who is running things up there but they need to be more responsive understanding that things aren't always going to go smoothly and that's ok as long as you are actively addressing the concerns.
