This girl has been hanging outside my studio all morning. She thinks she's helping me listen to mixes. A consistent c-c-c-C-D!

I just ordered a bunch of goodies from D'Addario Orchestral- can't wait for the post to come! New Zyex strings, new rosin and more manuscript paper. I'm so fortunate to be a D'Addario Artist.

My latest creative project has been producing my student Max Silverstein Music's EP. I helped Max compose 4 originals (2 tunes and 2 songs), and I have to say, I am SO PROUD! We also recorded a Lester Flatt song to make sure Max's love of Bluegrass heritage is represented. Listening to the finished product this morning and holding the CD in my hands is a really wonderful feeling. Thank you, Max, for asking me to be a part of your musical journey. It's been an amazing ride. Now it's time for you to be #TravelinOn.

Friday is off to a good start! Listening to the finished product and soaking in the lilies. So proud of Max for his musicianship and dedication. Can't wait till you folks hear this project.

I just renewed my Artist Endorsement agreement with D'Addario Orchestral and I couldn't be happier. I'm so grateful I'm a part of this string family. I've been test driving their new Kaplan Vivos on my fiddle. They are great, but do I love them as much as my favorite Zyex???

I've been producing my soon-to-be-former student Max's ep as a senior project and send-off before he heads south for Johnson City. He'll be studying bluegrass at ETSU. He wrote 4 originals for this project- two instrumentals and two songs, and covered a standard Bill Monroe number. Here's a pic of me about to lay down a harmony vocal track from yesterday's session. You can 'like' Max Silverstein Music and see updates on the spring release!

I love being in the studio. Can't wait to share Max's new album with you this spring.

So grateful to play for The Moth in Portsmouth on Saturday. Homies- get your tickets for the State Theatre, Portland, Maine show soon. This week I'm changing my strings and going to try the the new D'Addario Orchestral Kaplan Vivos; just in time to head back to the studio with Max Silverstein Music to finish up tracking his debut EP. THEN the weekend will be full of student performances for the @MaineAcousticFestival. woohoo!
