South Dakota School of Mines and Technology

#SDMines chemical engineering major Joseph Hilsendeger spent the summer interning with the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources in His internship included measuring observation wells. These wells are a good indicator of the water level in that area. Careful monitoring ensures that water being used for purposes such as irrigation is being put back into the earth at the same rate it is being taken out. Joseph is from Bath, SD and is a 2016 graduate of Aberdeen Central High School.
