Has anyone else noticed sizing is getting worse? Our youngest is 4 and in shop size top 7/8 years...
Here is my cheeky lil fella in a Trolls tee from Asda George's girls section (cause what little boy likes singing, and dancing and huggin). Point being he is 2 ...years old and this is age 5-6. Thought I would wait till he grows but apparently 5-6 year old girls are shrinking and now the size of a 2-3 year old, Unreal!.

Make sure she's... dressed to impress?
Something that I've been talking to the 9 year old about, since she's started to develop her own style and ideas about her appearance. Express yourself, wear what feels right and comfy to you - NEVER dress to impress. (Whether this implies opposite sex or not)
Yes girls... Style starts early!

My son's preschool has a Disney dress up day today. He has chosen to go as Elsa. He loves every part of his outfit, all bought from the 'girls' section. I'm so proud he has the confidence to wear whatever he wants

Pretty little just no. #trespass
I was pretty disgusted earlier to see this in the window of Trespass: a shop that sells outdoor and adventure clothes and gear. I naively thought they would want girls to aspire to be more than just 'pretty' and I'm angry and disappointed to have been proved wrong.
The comments to our last post saying "she got destroyed on twitter" (she's left btw) are shameful tbh. Talk about misplaced rage - why is sexism in stores so acceptable?
Here's the marvellous Katy Guest writing in the Independent.
"On Friday morning, I went to my local M&S and expanded some of their ranges for them. Unfortunately, there were no dinosaur T-shirts in stock, but I did find some brilliant tops marked “bug expert” in the “boys” section, and moved half of them in...to “girls”. In return, I moved some sparkly crop tops marked “play it cool” into the “boys” aisle. I also liberated Hello Kitty from her pink ghetto for a house swap with Thomas the Tank Engine, and reunited Peppa Pig and her brother George. Hey presto: now the ranges are accessible to all children and include products “for girls”.I told Marks & Spencer’s corporate press office about my genius solution, and they replied: “… we offer a wide choice in a range of styles and colours… our store layouts reflect the way our customers like to shop….” If you disagree, join me in setting free some dinosaurs. In the meantime, you’re welcome, Mr Bolland. I’ll take my bonus in cash, not share.”

Important day - don't forget to vote!
The ONLY way we can thank the countless women who fought for decades to win us the right to vote (attacked, imprisoned, tortured) - is to make sure we use the gift they gave us.
Please don't forget to vote tomorrow x

Aaaaarrrggghhh! Obviously boys only like the boy dogs and girls only like the girl dogs. Heaven forbid a child likes ALL the dogs!!!! Also, I note that boys wear "pyjamas" but girls wear the much more cutely named "shorties". Bought my daughter both.

....And its pink for girls, normal film colours for boys AND toddler boys. Slow hand clap #GapKids
I was so excited to hear that you guys had released a Marvel collection for boys & girls until I went to your website to look at it.
Sadly it wasn't some unisex... collection like I thought and hoped it would be. No, it was divided into boy & girl category. You even had a toddler boy collection. Can you answer this, please.. Why do you feel the need to label these clothes with a Gender Gap?
PS Thanks for the Wonder Woman collection. My son will love the tops, just a shame I had to go the 'girls' section to see them.

My son turned 2 yesterday and he received these pyjamas as a present. He's a big fan of the furchester hotel and was so excited to wear them but he had 1 questi...on - where's Phoebe? Elmo and Phoebe are the main characters so I was puzzled too, and then I worked it out. Phoebe is only on the girls pyjamas (link in comments).
I really don't understand this one, he's only 2 and currently has no concept of gender!

Girls Will Be which creates "in-the-middle-fit" clothes sent me these graphics on the differences in fit between the top brands of clothing for boys and girls.... The images beg the questions: why does little girls' clothing "need" to be tighter, shorter and more constricting than boys'? Is it easier to move in such clothes? Play in them? Run in them? What is it grooming girls to wear later? How is it grooming them to perceive themselves?

Hey Next.....can you give me a legitimate reason I had to walk past shelves and shelves of unicorn sequin t shirts in the girls section so I could get these co...ol t shirts from the boys section? Because somehow space, science and super heroes are gender specific? Is it that boys can be fans of space exploration (NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and girls can just stuck with princesses and ponies?
Come on Next. Clothes aren't gender specific. Science should be encouraged across all genders and I'm pretty sure Iron Man would kick your arse if he could as well.
Can you do your bit for the girls and well as the boys please and just open up the clothes section to all genders?

Ok... the original post was deleted, and after the author recieved thousands of negative comments and messages (plus a lot of bad press for you know, expressing a well thought out opinion on her own Facebook page), who can blame her (I won't mention her name) - but I want to stand by everything that she said, every word of it and ask that you email Asda via the link in comments.
"Boys will be boys" isn't a random set of words, it isn't meant as a positive remark about childre...n and when you look at the bigger picture - it's not amusing either. So yes, IT DOES NOT BELONG ON A CHILD'S TOP.
Not a big issue? Look at the bigger picture. Look at the tops alongside this one like "here comes trouble" and "wasn't me" - we are both telling children, and accepting that boys=trouble without consequences. That very idea, that notion is part of so many bigger problems in our society. It both erodes our understanding of boys as good children and stops us encouraging boys to be more, be good, be beyond the stereotype - because BOYS CAN BE:
Caring
Kind
Honest
Brave
Funny
Silly
Smart
Creative
Responsible
Daft
Lovely
Nice
Just like girls. #letchildrenbechildren
