Best nursery I've ever visited! Most helpful, knowledgeable, and patient staff. I loved that each plant section is priced and labeled with specific details about the plant...No guessing. The entire nu...rsery is clean and well organized. All the plants were in great health! Largest selection of plants I've seen. Left with a truck load, and will be back again! Thanks to Pete for all your help!! See More

Original Founder and Plant Master, David Lichtenfelt, has come out of retirement and taken the nursery back over this year, 2017. He's only been at it a few months but has already made significant imp...rovements. I'm so excited to see his plans come to fruition next year! Stay tuned everyone, I think Lichtenfelt is going to be THE gardening/good-vibes spot of the Greenville area. See More

We bought five 15 gallon Yoshino Cherry trees yesterday from here. The trees are perfect-great root balls and just overall very healthy trees. Everyone there was so welcoming and answered all of our q...uestions. I’ll definitely be back! See More

Not only do I work at this amazing place but I am a loyal customer and have been for over ten years. I work with the most amazing, hard-working, up-standing people around and this nursery has the bes...t quality plant material you'll find anywhere. Both my front yard and back yard are FULL of trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials from this lovely place and I am constantly showered with complements from neighbors and passersby on how great my landscaping looks. Gardening is such a fun and beautiful activity to take part in. I implore anyone who is remotely interested in having a wonderful experience shopping for amazing plant material in a beautiful and positive setting to come to Lichtenfelts! :-) See More

Thanks for the assistance provided by Patrick on Thursday. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable about planting conditions etc. . Alex exceeded my expectations Friday, when I called at 8:00 AM... to add to my order. He selected a beautiful Nellie Stevens holly to round out my order. This nursery is a great place to visit when you want to just walk around and enjoy beautiful plants as well as landscaping! Keep up the good work. See More

One of the best (if not the best) nurseries in Greenville.
A huge selection of plants and trees, many of them organized in such a way as to see how they'll look in your yard.
Helpful and courteous e...mployees.

Highly recommended.

Great selection of plants and helpful with advice on planting

Spring is here! Much like a deciduous plant we spent all of the fall and winter “shedding our leaves” to get ready for new spring growth. We have been remodeling our display gardens and are almost ready to start planting again! Stay tuned for more updates on our nursery renovation projects. Check out our Instagram @lichtenfelts for a video tour of our display gardens!

If you thought yellow foliage and flowers were just for the fall, think again! Lichtenfelt’s has yellow to suit any garden style or space. Pictured, from top left to bottom right: Spirea ‘Candy Corn’, Edgeworthia (Paperbush), Forsythia, Hinoki Cypress ‘Crippsii’

Spread the wealth! After a lot of changes, Lichtenfelt’s finally has gift cards again. Thanks to @plasticprinters for hooking us up with the amazing gift card design.

Make sure to cover your plants that have new growth tonight and tomorrow night. Don’t let the frost get them!

We're sure you know that Lichtenfelt's is always up to date on the latest plants, but did you know that we're also in on the latest style trends? While the Pantone 2018 color of the year is purple, Lichtenfelt's has been repping purple since the 80's! We also just received a huge shipment of new plants, several of them being purple. Update your landscaping to reflect the newest style trend by shopping at Lichtenfelt's; now open for Spring hours.

We just finished unloading lots of new plant material, including these gorgeous lenten roses, perfect for this season. Come check out all of our variety! We are still currently operating on winter hours, Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30. Weather-permitting, we will begin our spring hours next Saturday, February 24th, Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30 and Sat 8:30-4.

Thanks to all for the great comments regarding Spring availability! We'll be taking advantage of the snowy weather to attend the ‘Green ‘N Growing’ show in Greensboro to gather more ideas of new products for our customers. We will therefore be closed today and will re-open Monday at 8:30.

And lots of snow and ice. The nursery will be closed Thursday, January 18 - but doesn't our new fence look nice?
