Where to begin, I've been a member for ten years at this location, it has gotten worse. First, I've seen children there after 11pm at night, I believe Fridley has a curfew. I've seen kid's as late as ...11:45 to midnight. If this continues I will be calling Fridley police to check the club or local media to investigate. Second, when did lifetime start giving away basketball balls, was there a great sale at Dave's sport shop, for Wilson NCAA basketballs. Third, why are some people allow to wear underwear into the main pool and whirlpool? Then in the dry sauna why are people allowed to dry clothes on the protective base around the heaters. Also, certain people bringing phones into private areas of club, and I've told them to point their phones away or down to the ground, where is my privacy and being told by these asshole they a right to have their phones in private areas. Then you have people putting cold water on the steam pipes in the steam sauna and again I told these brain dead that it's very dangerous and could harm the pipes, and again being told by these people, it's OK,it's no problem. Also, the way certain people leave that club, towels everywhere, the place is a mess. The colorful language you hear from certain people, an example, the n-word is used quite often follow by the f-word. Great for being a family place. The staff at night seems to be overwhelmed by all this crap, the staff at night are great, they aren't babysitter for so-called adults. I'm very close to leaving this club or calling the corporate headquarters. My membership rates keep going to pay for this crap? Figure out or you will lose more people. See More

I have been coming to the Fridley center for well over a decade. Hands down it is the cleanest club in the metro; I always try to remember to thank the maintenance teams when I see them in the locker... room.

Desk staff is exceptionally friendly and efficient, and I like the often updated cafe' menus. The club is huge, but I appreciate that there are folks at the front desk who make an effort to remember names...thank you.

Also, well done on closing the club during the April 2018 snow insanity. Take care of your staff so that they will WANT to take care of you.

Overall the facility and staff are great. Never had an issue with that. They get a 5 hands down.

Other members and overall outside community get a 0. Constantly seeing other members leave towels all... over the place and generally unwilling to pick up/clean after themselves. Leave towels and trash all over the locker room. Even had to speak to the front desk staff about another member not wearing any swimwear in the men's locker room whirlpool. Granted I've checked my phone quick while taking a break in between sets, I've witnessed several other members sitting on a machine for 20 minutes at a time reading a book or on their phones but not actually working out.

I did see a giant pile of glass in the parking lot which makes me think somebody may have had a window smashed in and their car broken into outside the club, but I don't know for sure.

The location of the club is great, it's literally 5 minutes from my house. But I think it may be worth driving a little further to see if there is a club with more responsible/conscientious members.

I used to love Lifetime and Lifetime Fridley too, until they started having ONLY Zumba as a dance option. Less diverse choices. I am a longstanding (years) member who might quit and go to the Y. Yeste...rday, my fees went up while two of my three dance classes were cut - "Zumba will replace those classes." That is like telling a Lutheran congregation that a Catholic Priest is taking over - it is all Christianity right? We are streamlining everything and there will be no more Lutheran Pastors. I.e. - you hate Zumba - that is all we offer. See More

Overall great , CLEAN , friendly staff.

Child center has absolutely no activities for anyone under five. Kind of ridiculous. Kids need to start earlier to get into habits of being healthy living and ...active life, lifetime should know this. See More

Great place to work out. Although some of the trainers are not too approachable.

I loved this Lifetime. The facility set up was really what made me fall in love. I didn't feel like I was ever on top of anyone, there was never a wait for equipment, the locker room was always well m...aintained and the staff was top of the line. 10/10 would recommend to a friend! See More

I love this gym. Very big; so we never have to wait for a machine like we had to do at other gyms. My daughter and I love the steam room. Staff is friendly...but there needs to be more of them; especi...ally someone working in the main workout room to prevent children playing on the machines. (Parents really need to follow the gym rules and keep their children in the daycare during their workouts) See More

Absolute worst lifetime. There are groups of unsupervised kids all the time running around like it's a daycare center, the studios are always locked, the members are so messy constantly leaving the we...ights laying around. The staff and personal trainers are really nice and I feel bad for the ones that are always working. They have tennis courts but here's the kicker, you can't use them unless you are a platinum member. Why have services for platinum members at a gold gym? I live in New Brighton and go out of my way to drive to bronze gyms because they are better this this one. Even if that means driving to New Hope or Coon Rapids. See More

Tomorrow will be my family’s last day at Lifetime Fitness. The only reason we kept our membership so long is because your swimming program is wonderful. There were a few things that were a little stra...nge, such as you needing my 3 year old (at the time we joined) to have her own membership even though all she used was the pool and swimming lessons are an additional fee.

My father came in to town for the summer, he came in to your location (where he has been a member since the US Swim and Fitness was built 25+ years ago) and asked about getting a one month membership, so he could use it while he stays at my house for the month of August. He is close to 70 years old and mainly uses the sauna, pool and cardio machines. The price he was quoted was completely insane. I guess I just feel sad the he couldn’t be recognized as the loyal membership holder he was for all of those years. It really speaks volumes about your organization.

Overall it's a nice gym, but the free weight area is almost always in complete chaos. Staff cleans regularly but some of the messiest, most inconsiderate people who:
occupy equipment without lifting
d...eposit weights throughout the area
leave plates and dumbbells everywhere
leave towels all over
use 3 benches at a time (while not really using any of them)
refuse to put plates on racks in any sort of order.
Half the time it's not obvious which equipment is being used or not because there are still plates and dumbbells loaded or towels all over the place.

My 60 to 80 minute workout lasted 10 minutes tonight, I just couldn't handle it anymore. Going to this location has made my workouts, meant to relieve stress, extremely stressful and a chore. When you leave more tense than you arrive, and have to convince yourself to go every night, you know there's a problem. Maybe a different location will be better.

Staff are helpful and friendly from my experience. I realize that it's a tough problem to control but ANY attempt would be nice. Also, why is a female staff member cleaning the men's locker room when there are more male staff at night? There's always a sign apologizing for any inconvenience, but is it easier to expect 50 men not to shower or rotate the cleaning crew?

Also, doors are never locked, so ZERO security and I watched two staff members ignore a ringing phone.

In terms of the facility and staff, this gym is excellent, however one area Fridley Lifetime seriously falls short on is their group fitness. When I first signed up the offerings were really varied an...d far more evening and weekend classes were available. Now, the class offerings are consistently lame and if you work 9 to 5 like most people you can't even take advantage of classes because either there are none after 5 or they are so packed that you have to get there super early to get a spot!

@Fridley Lifetime - why have your group fitness offerings deteriorated? Please offer better classes and more evening and weekend!!

We call this place Fam Fridley because of the great culture at this club. Everybody is so friendly and inviting, and I'm even referring to the members!

Nice place. Terrible music. They ought to not play anything over the speakers. Everyone wears headphones anyway.

Seriously. I'm here right now and the music is killing me.

They recently added several brand-new squat racks, re-did the pool, and finally put up curtains in the shower areas. Small improvements that bump it from 4 to 5 stars. The facility is consistently cle...an and well maintained, and the staff is always courteous. They're somewhat more expensive than competing gyms in the area, but I've found that it's still a good value considering 24 hour access and the quality of the facility. See More

This place has gone downhill big time. The men's locker room is like that ending scene in Black Hawk Down when they're all rioting in the streets. People screaming obscenities and fighting almost ever...y time I come here.
Unsafe establishment
