More about Amy: I've always loved food. Sure, most people love food but I love it on a level of dedicating my college essay to how important food is to me. I owe this fascination entirely to my mom, a self taught cook who cooked and baked gourmet meals for our family growing up. She's the kind of person who'd do amazing on Chopped, continuo...usly producing delicious and creative meals on a whim. Learning about food from her inspired me to start my monthly mini cookbook series Overseasoned. I handwrite each recipe because I love the way that my mom and her sisters always shared recipes on physical recipe cards. And I focus each month on ingredients that are ripe at the time. Creating seasonal food is fun for me because it helps me stay present and enjoy the best of each season. In June I'm celebrating strawberries and in November I'm partying with all the squash.
