Adventus - Season of Preparation
Before our savior could come there had to be someone willing to give birth to him. This person would have to be female and married because an unmarried woman would most likely be stoned to death for having sex before marriage. This married women would have to be a virgin and for that to happen she would need to just be engaged and not yet married. This also causes a big problem because what would the soon to be husband think? Would he tolerate his soon to be wife having conceived by another man? Most men would not, and in this case, this goes against every Jewish law on the record books. How could he marry an unfaithful woman who was now no longer a virgin? (Read More...)

Mother's Day Message 2017:
4 "Rather, let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight." ~ 1 Peter 3:4 (NRSVACE)
Special Posting Palm Sunday:
What do you do if your heart wants to change something in your life that you have no power to change? Find Out.... https://listeningfaithfullyblog.com/…/acceptance-of-the-un…/
When something goes wrong or when things don't go your way, or when you find yourself in unexpected circumstances this is what you do.
11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." ~ Jeremiah 29:11
God is in charge, so let him be in charge. God is the author of your life, so let him write your story. Follow in all the directions he leads and you will find He has brought you closer to himself... and has molded you into a more perfect version.
3 "Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, 4 and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope, 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us." ~ Romans 5:3-5
So rejoice in all ill things that happen to you and do not curse them as God is your captain, your savior, your All Mighty Lord. When the waters are higher than the highest deck remember you are on Gods ship and the waters are a test of your faith, your endurance, your steadfastness in Him. Give God the control and He will bring you through any storm.
2 "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness." ~ James 1:2-3
Diversity is all around us, count the many many diverse blessing bestowed upon us by God, then stand up and follow His blessing. Know that when one door closes another opens and when something is taken from you then there is an even greater present waiting to be bestowed for all those of mighty faith in the Lord. Accept new opportunities and create new experiences that far exceed any that came before it. But never be idol in your words and actions, take hold firmly the hammer and nail and continue to build for the race of life is not over until your last fleeting breath.
