- "And my mouth will proclaim your praise."

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

Psalm 95 - (The Antiphon is said between each grouping of the verses.)

Encourage each other daily while it is still today ~ Hebrews 3:13

A Call to Worship and Obedience

1 O come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

3 For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are his also.

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and the dry land, which his hands have formed.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

7 For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand. O that today you would listen to his voice!

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,
as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 when your ancestors tested me,
and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

10 For forty years I loathed that generation
and said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,
and they do not regard my ways.’
11 Therefore in my anger, I swore,
‘They shall not enter my rest.’

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Ant. Christ is born for us; come, let us adore him.

Reading: Isaiah 9:5-6 New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised Catholic Edition (NRSVACE)

6 "For a child has been born for us,
a son given to us;
authority rests upon his shoulders;
and he is named
Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 His authority shall grow continually,
and there shall be endless peace
for the throne of David and his kingdom.
He will establish and uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time onwards and for evermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this."

The Lord has made known, alleluia, alleluia.
- The Lord has made known, alleluia, alleluia.

His saving power,
- alleluia, alleluia.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.

The Lord has made known, alleluia, alleluia.

Ant. At the Lord's birth, the choir of angels sang; Blessed be our God enthroned as King and blessed be the Lamb.

Let us pray to Christ, in whom the Father willed to make all things new;

Beloved Son of God, hear us.

Son of God, you were with the Father in the beginning, and in the fullness of time you became a man,
- give is a brother's love for all people.

You became poor to make us rich; you emptied yourself that we might be lifted up by your lowliness and share and share in your glory,
- make us faithful ministers of your Gospel.

You shone on those who dwelt in darkness and the shadow of death,
- give us holiness, justices, and peace.

Give us a heart that is upright and sincere, so that we may listen to your word,
- and bring it to perfection in ourselves and in the world for the sake of your glory.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

All powerful God, may the human birth of your Son free us from our former slavery to sin and bring us new life. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

May the Lord bless us, protect us from all evil and bring us to everlasting life.
- Amen.
