We are gearing up for the new school year. LHS will be welcoming back our students Monday-Wednesday, August 14, 15, 16th. There is a make up day on Friday, August 18th and then help is needed on the first day of school, Monday, August 21st.
Lots of helping hands are needed to process our over 1,800 students. Those who have volunteered in the past LOVE this opportunity to see all the students and parents before the school year begins.
Can't work the WHOLE shift? Consider spli...tting it with a friend. Just leave us a comment with the other person's name and email.
BIG benefit of volunteering at Walk Through. . . your student can register early on the day of your shift and receive his/her schedule AS LONG AS your shift is on the same day as their assigned time slot.
NOTE: If your volunteer day is before your student's assigned day, your student can still go through full registration, but will have to return on their assigned day to receive his/her schedule as schedules are printed the night before. But then it's just a matter of going to the schedule pick up area and BAM you're outta there!

5 star book review for Everyone Has Their Little Secrets by Michael Louthan...

By Coco Given To Me For An Honest Review
Everyone Has Their Little Secrets by Michael Louthan is a must read for everyone. Once you pick up this book to read, it will grab you hold you down and then you will watch the pages turn and turn and turn some more and before you know it you will be at the end of the book. It is about Zoe, Josh, Kirk and their families. It is written in diary form. The diary is Zoe's. Josh was her older brother who was always there for her. That is until he was killed by Kirk. After Josh's death, Zoe began to suffer so much from Kirk. She finally decides to do something to protect herself from Kirk. This is a great coming of age book and all that one goes through. So many secrets were hidden for so long and when they all come out, life has changed forever. I read this book in one sitting. It is such a fantastic story. It is a book that you'll re-read over and over again. I gave this book 5 stars but it deserves many, many more. I highly recommend this book to everyone. This is one book that really needs to be read.
