THE ROVING COMEDY NIGHT
Sunday 24th June 2018
Tickets on sale in May
Tring's famous Roving Comedy event is back for the 9th year in June. A truly unique night featuring 16 comedians moving from pub to pub, providing entertainment to four packed audiences.
AND THEY ARE NOW TAKING ENQUIRIES FOR THIS YEARS TRAINING COURSE.
Do you want to have a go at being a comedian? The brilliant Logan Murray (the man responsible for training comics such as Rhod Gilbert, Greg Davies and Josh Widdicombe) will take you through an 8-week course, guiding and assisting as you develop your material. The Course culminates in you performing your 5-minutes of comedy in front of audiences in pubs in Tring.
The course costs £80 and the training will take place in a venue (to be confirmed) in Tring on Thursday nights in May and June.

Rectory Lane Cemetery made Berkhamsted's contribution to the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch this morning (Sunday). Two dozen people watched, counted and discussed birds for a very agreeable hour. The Rectory Lane Cemetery renewal project plans further events this spring relating to nesting boxes and the dawn chorus. For more, go to http://www.livingmags.info/features/rspb-count
Berkhamsted Citizens have a magnificent new website, thanks largely to the work of the organisation’s chair Lindy Weinreb.
At http://www.berkhamstedcitizens.org.uk, it’s a lively blend of news, video, photo-collage and archive. Few websites make good use of the technology available without resorting to gimmickry or artifice - this one demonstrates what can be achieved. The Citizens are dedicated to improving the quality of life in Berkhamsted and their new website is part of the process.
Take a look. If you feel inspired to become a Civic Watchman or to go along to a Berkhamsted Citizens event, so much the better.
Congratulations to Tring U3A, which clocked up its 10th anniversary with a celebration at the Victoria Hall on Akeman Street yesterday (14 Dec). Two mayors - of Dacorum and of Tring - were in attendance and members of the U3A's Ukelele and Singing for Fun groups entertained a full house. More at www.tringu3a.org.uk
