Enjoyed the shrimp plate. Tons of food for the price. Staff was extremely nice. The view is awesome. Wish it had been warmer so I could have sat outside and ate.

I'm sorry, but the Shack was over priced, lobster stew had no flavor, haddock was mushy v crisp (so we're the fries) -- however, the employees were quite nice and the strawberry-rhubarb pie was great ...(if you go there - stick to coffee/pie). FAR better - try Claws in Rockland; we found it far superior, costs less and portions were better. See More

We went there specifically for the sights and the lobsters. We werent disappointed. Loved the Lobster dinner and the lobster roll and hotdog boats. The line was still long when we reached there at... 3:30 pm but the meal was worth the wait. Would highly recommend it to friends visiting Maine. Cape Elizabeth is divine! See More

A favorite spot of ours. The food was it's usual excellent. We hit it on a slow time ( as if they really have a slow time) so we didn't even have a wait. The gift shop is always a highlight as we...ll. No trip to Higgins Beach is ever complete without a trip to the Lobster Shack! See More

I was recently visiting and staying on Frye Island with friends . I am so happy we had a glorious lunch of fried clams, lobster roll,
and fried baby shrimp. The view, the breeze ,and the food were ...all incredible .
Waiting in the line was a great part of the entire experience , anticipating having one of the wonderful meals that we kept seeing come out on other guests trays and changing our minds as one delicious looking meal after another passed by !
I will be back for sure !!

We come here every year when we visit Maine, and the view cannot be beat. The wait can be pretty long, and it isn't cheap, but cheap food is hardly ever good anyways. Our first visit was in 2009 and e...very time we are in Maine we come up the coast to enjoy. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the fries leave a lot to be desired and the portions are on the small side. See More

Was there this summer felt food was not very good at all and on top of it was very overpriced

Lovely location and quick service for how busy they are. Food was okay, but the main issue is access. There is no signage until the end of a dead end about no rv's. People everywhere were strugglin...g with parking and having to back up the long, narrow street. A sign stating limited access further up the road where one could turn around or park and walk would alleviate the issue with little effort from the owners. See More

Eating outside in an incredibly beautiful place
The food here is what you would expect from a seafood place, lobster rolls and fried fish, rather pricy and pretty good, but the location on a peninsula... with the rocky Maine coast all around makes this a truly great place to eat. Expect to wait at peak times and on nice days. Also check out the gift shop, a cut above your usual tourist shop with great jewelry, kids gifts, Christmas ornaments and more at surprisingly reasonable prices. See More

Having Lobster in Maine was bucket list and I crossed it out as I had a great awesome lobster roll here. Spectacular ocean view, this Texas man was happy.

Wow! Just what we were looking for before leaving Maine. We were on a quest for the BEST clams in Maine and without a doubt found them here. Off the beaten path definitely worth the short drive. The p...lace runs like a fine oiled machine. Great food, HUGE portions at great prices. Did I mention it was delicious?! And the view .... gorgeous ❤️ The Atlantic and right in the middle of two lighthouses. Fantastic! See More

This place was a wonderful addition to our Maine vacation. The food was delicious and the view was stunning. The kids got to run around outside on the rocks after eating and we got some great pictures.... Perfect place to have dinner after spending the day at the beach! See More

It's a small restaurant with a ocean view! I bring my parents for their 43 wedding anniversary and they love it. Also, we bring wine and wine glasses for dinner. My mom loves their blue berry pie.

Beautiful scene w fried onion rings a treat. Avoid lobster rolls w frozen tasteless lobster, enjoy a fried food binge and go to Bite into Maine for the very best Lobster roll around! I took a visiting... friend to lobster shack one day cuz bite into Maine was closed, a Wed, he did not know the difference but I knew and was pretty unhappy. See More

Excellent food - long line (if you go before 5pm), but they move people through quickly. Will stop every time we are in the area.

Everything was great about my visit with my family. Being the 4th of July week, there was a long line but the staff were extremely helpful and patient. The whole restaurant and picnic area were clean ...and well taken care of. My fisherman's platter was great, the lobster rolls all lobster and the blueberry pie terrific. And the view: spectacular. More about the scenery than the food. The food tastes great but the cost is a little high for the amount of food you are getting. Regardless still an inconic place to eat, I would stick with live lo...bsters or scallops. See More

View is always amazing and the best part of being there. Food is ok. Not like it used to be many years ago. Over priced and for $23 lobster salad on a bed of greens, 1/2 the lettuce was brown and a 1/2 of a tail and maybe a knuckle. See More

My Dad and I visited yesterday and it was a great experience! The coast was gorgeous and our lobster dinners were worth every dollar. Oceanside dining at it's best! Thanks for a great experience from Arkansas!

Loved the bread pudding and scallop boat and haddock. Clam chowder and lobster stew were great. Two downsides are too many fries and need a ramp.

Best lobster roll and homemade blueberry pie... EVER! I've read complaints about the wait but given the surroundings/beautiful scenery, I could never complain about a 15 minute wait to order. The wait... to sit down at a restaurant and order food would be significantly longer so this was a non issue for us. Can't wait to go back. See More

The fried seafood was awesome (clams and shrimp) as was the blueberry pie, but the location just takes it over the top! Great place, nice people!

Ambiance is amazing. Couldn't ask for better scenery. Prices are manageable and lobster is the best around. Standing in line for an hour and fifteen minutes was long... But for the combination of food... and setting, you could argue it was worth it. See More

Worst fried scallops ever. Burnt and rancid tasting. Cheap fries and bland coleslaw . View is great but food was disappointing!

After reading the review in this month's Yankee magazine, ranking at #2 in the state of Maine , I drove the 1hr trip , to be totally disapointed , spending 54 dollars for 2 unusually small lobster ro...ll, they should have at least loaded up the fries, we went away hungry. See More

Food was good with the wait time being short! I wish the weather was nice so we could have sat outside to enjoy the view!
It's a beautiful day here on the coast, and the weekend forecast looks wonderful! #rooftopview #summerinmaine #lobstershack
It's chilly, but what a gorgeous day!
The day after a spring storm--it's still windy and cold, but the sun is shining o the ocean and the surf is beautiful today! The video doesn't do it justice, if you're nearby, come out to enjoy some delicious food in the cozy dining room and see it in person!

It must be a sign that eventually spring will come! #rainbow #shackbow #lobstershack #mainecoast
