In this segment, Danny discusses his current position as General Manager of the Flight Test Historical Foundation. The group is currently seeing great progress toward their goal of expanding the Air Force Flight Test Museum’s floor space from its current 12,000 square feet to 150,000 squar...e feet. The new facility will be located in a publicly accessible area outside the west gate of Edwards AFB and will include a STEM education facility. The larger space will allow for greater display of the museum’s collection of 85 historical aircraft, many one-of-a-kind or first of their kind, which can serve as teaching platforms for area students when they are made available for study in the new facility. While taking a “gap year” after serving his initial Army hitch, a civilian workplace injury effectively ended Danny’s military career. With his re-enlistment appeal in limbo, he moved on to work for a civilian contractor serving the US Navy. Eventually, he pulled up stakes and moved to the Antelope Valley, where he ...became a member of the Edwards AFB Civ-Mil Support Group.
